Saw this AD nb in Scourge (ps4 na) take on like 4-5 dc at once, was an amazing scene and I didnt want to be part of the highlight lol. I felt bad for watching them die but it was 1v4 so....how do you guys do it?

Huge thanks for the pvp tips you dudes are awsome. Had my first 1v2 it was...intense for me atleast. I tried your tips on who to target and timing burst instead of running. Here it is if you've got more tips on what I could do better let me know, and again thanks guys.

You also need good knowledge of game mechanics and be up to date on all the changes to create your own optimized build.

And I would duel a lot to gain experience on how to deal with good opponents. If you can do that, you will be able to recognize and exploit the mistakes your opponents make.

Not necessarily. 1vX mainly comes down to a strong build, proper target prioritization, and dividing the larger fight into a series of smaller engagements.

Build for self-sufficiency. Build for the "just enoughs" -- just enough damage to be lethal, sustain to not run out of resources when under high pressure, and either mobility or durability to not die when jumped on. Don't build excess of any one stat because you'll be short in another. Build to heal yourself and to burst kill your targets alone.

Hit their squishy dudes or their healers first. Knock out that pesky 17k health nightblade or the BoLplar immediately, and your fight will be that much easier.

Condition yourself to see everything happening around you at once, and to react immediately via muscle memory. 1vX is a fast paced fight. You won't have time to think.

Use line of sight, mobility, stealth, crowd controls, and any other tools you have available to reduce the number of opponents able to hit you at once. Divide the fight into nothing more than a series of 1v1-3s while the rest of the enemy group struggles to keep their target on you, and you'll kill dozens in no time.

But mostly, 1vX comes down to picking your fights. Know your limits, use the element of surprise if you have it, and only engage when you know your marks won't be suddenly joined by the Krotha zerg...

The best 1vX'ers are a combination of what a lot of these people have said - especially Ara and Kena.

    Couple of things to add-

    1. Using your environment is huge, 1vx typically doesn't occur in open field. You have to use small chokes, ledges, slaughterfish water, trees, rocks, things around you.
    2. You HAVE to be able to heal while you do damage. You can't only heal and you can't only damage, you'll die every time.
    3. Focus the magicka templar first, always. Radiant will sauce you every time and those templars are healing your targets, making your life that much harder.
    4. After templars are down, focus NB's. High damage, good cc, they can mess your life up.
    5. Focus tanky DK's or max health templars last.
    6. Use your ultimates wisely, having an ult like meteor or dawnbreaker, something that can hit multiple targets is best. Running single target ults will make life harder.
    7. Don't pop a pot unless you need it. If you pop it when you don't need it, you won't have it up when you do.
    8. Damage > Regen. Figure out how much the MINIMAL regen you can run with comfortably is and run at that. Too much regen = not enough damage. The less damage you have, the longer they stay alive, the harder it is.
    9. Utilize the champion point system to your advantage. Read every passive and think, which can really benefit me? If you're a stam build, you need 120 into the lady point blank. You NEED unchained. And every time you get CC'd, use your most expensive stam skills immediately, ie: vigor, rally. This will help manage your resources because these expensive skills will be nearly free.
    10. Impen and an undaunted set make life easier. Bloodspawn is great. So is engine guardian. So is malubeth.
    11. CC your targets on cool down. Look at their feet and see whether they have spinning white circles around them. If they don't, they need to be CC'd immediately. Fear them, WB them, fossilize them, toppling charge them, whatever it may be. The better you are at CC'ing on cooldown, the faster your targets run out of stam, the faster they die.

In my experience, don't be afraid to die.

Start small. See a siege line or enemies mucking about beside a keep and its unflagged, hop down and give it a go. Killed? Go again a little wiser.

And by this she means, as soon as you take damage, from another player that wasn't initially in the 1v1, run to a tree and look dumb when nobody follows you. The follow me to a rock thing is getting so old so fast. Hopefully they make arenas a flat ground without LoS so tree humpers can get exposed.

This, if youre fighting 4 ppl alone, not one of them can be at your skill level or you will loose. If you win 1v4, all of them are worse pvpers then you. If youre fighting 1v2 you can still win if both are equally skilled as you, but that requires some luck.

1vX is definately only done vs bad players as others have stated. Find some of the top players on your server and you'll be hard pressed to 1v1 them let alone 1v2.

Its all a matter of who your fighting not how many. My first question to anyone bragging about 1vX is who? And most the time they can't remember anyones name. Once in a while they will and it will be a nobody.
