Yeah well it does but watchu gonna do... At least they're actually fixing something.

You're a "Glass Half Full" kind of guy, huh?

Teasing. I agree with the outlook.

No I'm "I need more in my glass" kind of guy.
All I'm saying is that there's nothing you can do about this so might as well see something positive in it.
Oh FYI I am also from EU and would rather be playing right now but as many others - I can't.

I think that's exactly when there are no devs in the house. I assume they don't want to hire people who will pull night shifts.

Will you refund the ESO+ time, @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ? Would be fair given that many of us are unable to play second day in a row, just sayin'

Yes please. Also refund his game and permanently ban his account

U mad bro? WoW did it in the past when they had problems keeping the servers up. I was just asking if they are considering doing the same, I wouldn't mind it. No need to be a *** about it

There is a difference between problems keeping servers up and maintenance though. Also once they start something like this they will set a precedent and everyone will be demanding it for every patch.

Only time I have seen ZOS do this early access and when they broke the installer and people who paid for game time couldn't actually install the game.

It is considered bad service if any other kind of company would have downtime like this which would reduce your access to service as paying costumer. In European Law we do have both rights and duties even when we are bound by contracts and those contracts/agreements work both ways for both parties.

In this case Zenimax should add one day for all ESO+ subber to compensate for taking down server twice in road and give all other non subber something of the same value. That way they would show goodwill, provide a reasonable compensation for when things isn't working as planned and make people feel that they actually are being cared for.

ANet (GW2) have done this when they messed up and when things didn't go as they planned, so it doesn't mean that there is no precedence from other MMOs or that it will cost too much and normal maintenance is not the main reason why people get upset here. It is because how this is happening with almost no warning at all before servers is put off line*, that this being done right after another rather long period where server have been off line and they seem unable to actually move these to different time for day and night.

(*) Yes there as some Patch Note which had a small notice about Group Tool not being part of the first patch. That doesn't mean that they couldn't have made it as a notification when you log into game that this was planned to happen and on this forum that they plan to have a second patch/down time on server the next day to get patch GT into this game.

The true problem is the time. I understand that people doing this maintenance are in NA, but there is a rather large EU playerbase, that I would have thought, deserves some consideration as well. ESO has a good history of respecting us here in EU, why change it now?

I love how some gamers accuse Zos of not caring or thinking of players when fixing things during their playtime, whilst in this very statement, they care little for those who play at night or want to do random dungeons via the group finder, as long as it doesn't affect you sod everyone else huh?

    Hippocrates much?

Game issues need to be fixed we can all agree on that and it has to be done when ZOS decide, it may not be perfect for you but it's the right time for them, staff availability and other factors determine their window for repair, not the salty gamers who obviously have been raised being used to getting their own way.

Riiiight. Move it to the middle of the night so that ZOS employees have to go to work at 3am and work on hot fixes and upgrades in the middle of the night to appease a giant group of neckbeards who want to PLAY MY ESO GAME NAO!

This one wishes to bottle the tears to mix in with his skooma.

But in all fairness, Zos is making effort to fix something broken. Khajiit-Ri thinks they should take the game down for a complete week to address the many issues that have coalesced with each patch.

This one understands your pain, but surely your existence isn't hinged on playing ESO, go outside and look at the moon. Take your mum out to dinner. Read a book.

group finder taking a while? That's always been the case really not that important to take it down two days in a row during the day IMO

    Thanks for the reply though

No. That hasn't always been the case. There is a legitimate bug affecting group finder where it would literally take hours to create groups, regardless of composition. Not an hour for a DPS, but 6 hours for healers and tanks. And even then it wouldn't work properly.

It's two days in a row because the were still testing the fix yesterday before deployment and couldn't get it into the weekly maintenance.

The world isn't going to end just because you can't play. Go do something else until the patch is over. The game will still be here.

That... and I get the feeling someone in a position of authority sees the group finder bug as the big deal it really is. It's too embarrassing to have it be non-functional again after having finally gotten it to work well.

It is a core feature particularly to those leveling for the first time (and that is quite a few since the starter areas have been hopping with noobs after the DB release) that goes a long way toward creating a good/bad first impression.

People PVPing or just doing pledges wouldn't be bothered much since they are more interested in forming elite premade groups manually.

The only reason I noticed it and reported it is because I'm an altoholic who loves making new builds and running those low level dungeons is part of getting skill points quicker at a time in the progression when you have many more abilities, passives and morphs ready to unlock than you have skill points for.

This bug is a big deal and they must have realized it couldn't just get hot fixed as they initially thought last week. It's very much worthy of a second weekly maintenance no matter how unusual that might be,

One thing is taking a while and another is taking forever. Since DB patch I've not been able to get any single group using the group finder.

They should take the server down one week ago, so if (even a week later) they need to take the server down 2, 3, or more days to fix this is issue, it's welcome.

I am just asking because I am curious. Why not go in a guild to dungeons? Then you know the people and how you compliment each other etc and never have to use the *has never not been broken* group finder anyway?

Sure, it's nice they fix it, but i rather wish it would NOT be during what's going into EU prime time. Why not at separate times?

100k xp, especially on lower level toons is a good contribution on top of Undaunted xp gains. Plus whatever the rewards are, usually Laurel and soul gems.

I really don't want to be rude to people who complain, especially since i join them myself occasionally, but this is ridiculous - having a 'group finder broken, fix it asap' and 'group finder being fixed with downtime, how dare they!!!' topics on the same page, don't you guys think?

At this point I wouldn't mind if they had maintenance every day at any time if they could completely fix at least half of all the problems the game has.
