What is going on that you have to bring the servers down two days in a row?
And why is this done during the day EU?
You used to do maintenance at 3 in the morning so we barely noticed any downtime.
That was a good system that saw the least interruptions for players on the EU instead we see 2 days of downtime which is imagine is going to be another few hours.

Decado✭✭✭✭group finder taking a while? That's always been the case really not that important to take it down two days in a row during the day IMO

velocidad✭✭One thing is taking a while and another is taking forever. Since DB patch I've not been able to get any single group using the group finder.
They should take the server down one week ago, so if (even a week later) they need to take the server down 2, 3, or more days to fix this is issue, it's welcome.4 -

But they keep closing my ticket, even though I've done everything they've asked (all the steps, including moving Elder Scrolls Online folder from Documents to Desktop) and reset my game. Still doesn't work, and I replied to my ticket to tell them that. Twice!
I'm super annoyed at their lack of response. I press E over and over again and she still doesn't drink the potion. (This is in the Ailikir Desert.)PC - @Taisynn - NA - CP 268

I recently have done this quest without any issue.
Just for the record, with this or any other "bugged" quest I usually follow this steps:
1- Be sure the quest is on the quest traker (use T untill the quest is marked)
2- Get out/in the quest zone or province if needed
3- leave quest and take again
Following this simple steps I've done several quest that at start seems to be bugged.0 -

I am just asking because I am curious. Why not go in a guild to dungeons? Then you know the people and how you compliment each other etc and never have to use the *has never not been broken* group finder anyway?

✭✭✭✭✭I guess this is a bad time to tell them there's a bug with that starter quest in Daggerfall about protecting the king's life, at least in my recent experience after the patch. The Knights of the Dragons began attacking the Guard Captain instead of the enemy assassins. Not that it matters none of them actually takes damage from each other, I thought it was funny watching the Guard Captain get attacked by his own men AND the assassins at the same time; they never stopped spawning after the quest completed either.3 -

Two maintenance on 2 days in a row, both on peak playing daylight time is just brain dead. Move this to middle of night when the majority of people aren't playing2 -

Indeed. Not sure if ZOS are aware, but many EU players live in BST +1..+3 time, so it's 15:00-17:00 for them. Tomorrow, we’ll take down the North American and European PC/Mac megaservers to fix an issue with the Group Finder that is currently leading to long queue times. Please note that there are some rare cases where you may still encounter very long load times, and we are looking into these.
We expect the maintenance to take several hours tomorrow, and it starts at 8AM Eastern Time. We'll inform you when the servers are available again, and the fix is live.

You're telling me that you really have nothing else at all you can do for a few hours once or twice a week? I mean most of the time it's on a Monday now any way, isn't that GoT watching day for some of you?

What if i charged them a monthly fee for using it, but when they said, hey mate i was planning on using the gym that day - I replied back - Get a grip mate, i have to clean the place. I don't expect client to be around for long.
Fixes are good, but there is a time and place for them. Peak hour times, isnt it.
I always wonder why, in real life we don't take bad service, but when it comes to internet/games it is like, happy to get bad service - Shameful to see.7 -

They should have used their brains, fix the existing parts, and then release DLC.

All this is not the point really. The point is that guilds plan events on certain days (like Tuesday evenings on EU server, to avoid maintenance times) and I know several guilds personally who will miss 2nd raid in a row because everyone has scheduled all those 'other things to do for a couple hours' so they can make raid evening.
Most people can't just reschedule work, dinner, life etc at the last moment notice like this.
More than the night before notice would have been nicer than such short notice for a 2nd several hours' maintenance.
It's easy to tell people to do something else if you come from your perspective, but come from mine more notice would have been better.4 -

How does your analogy hold up if your gym is full of broken equipment and there's a sewage leak on the floor? Do you keep it open and expect them to stay in those conditions? if people complain, do you tell them that honoring business hours is more important than the quality of the business?
Or do you close it for the workers (who maybe only work business hours, like the Zeni data center and coding, and hardware support staff) to fix the broken pipes and equipment, and make it a better place for your clients? They've been telling me the same thing about other quests. There's quite a few quests that are broken. Using "E" on some part of the quests just doesn't work.

No. That hasn't always been the case. There is a legitimate bug affecting group finder where it would literally take hours to create groups, regardless of composition. Not an hour for a DPS, but 6 hours for healers and tanks. And even then it wouldn't work properly.
It's two days in a row because the were still testing the fix yesterday before deployment and couldn't get it into the weekly maintenance.
The world isn't going to end just because you can't play. Go do something else until the patch is over. The game will still be here.4
