Brotherhood Contracts - They are great but

I really love contracts, so much so I think its a repetitive aspect to the game that I could play for years if it was upgraded.

While I have a few suggestions, I want to stress that the most important thing I'd like to see is the ability to pick up a few contracts at once. We shouldn't have to do all the leg work just to quickly kill someone that takes 1 minute and then back to the sanctuary which takes 5 + minutes. So picking up 3 across Tamriel and then coming back when they are all done would feel good.

Currently the rewards seem too low also, we are murdering people after all.

The other aspects would be nice as upgrades to the current system - having more challenging contracts that make you need to actually plan your kill/different ways to kill them (some ranged kills would be nice with a bow etc). Maybe even a co op kill or group kill quest.

I have to say that I agree. I'd like this for the Thieves Guild too. The annoying part about this is all of the load screens. Heaps upon heaps of load screens. I'd rather be doing more 'out there' and less loading into the outlaw/assassin refuges. It gets old after a while and that is a shame.
    US/AD - Dodge Hopper - Vet Imperial Templar | US/AD - Goj-ei-Raj - Vet Argonian Nightblade

I just wish they were more varied. There are just about four of them,in two places.Mostly Vulkhel Guard.I got rather dizzy going back and forth from the Sanctuary and Vulkhel Guard. XD

I always remember the quest in oblivion to kill a trader with a poison apple.

The contracts def need more depth.

Yeah, I'd love more varietee. Not like it would be all that difficult now... break into manor house, sneak into bedroom, interact with secret brandy stash to place poison... (anyone here remembers how that was the "entrace exam" for a certain assassins guild back in the day?)
Or other stuff, find venoumous snake/spider/scorpion, sneak into house in the night when the target is all asleep, place critter on pillow for an "accidental death". Sabotage work equipment for more "go an' make it look like dey had an terriblah accident, capiche..." type of quests - noone will ever figure out that it was you who mislabeled the alchemy bottles in the mages guild causing that dreadful explosion, or dripped a bit of caustic newt bile on that rope...
And of course, the well aimed crossbow bolt from far away while the target is holding a public speech or sermon or something (if we had crossbows, that is, which I totally want for my assassin girl!)
Heck, I am still waiting for a "use a spoon, it'll hurt more" kind of assassination contract... ;)

Also, legwork. So far all the contracts had been easy-peasy stab and dash kinds of things in a city or town, with all the groundwork laid out for you to make it almost as easy at shooting fish in a barrel. Why not some "advanced quests" where you actually have to -work- to track down your target? Stuff like "Find and kill Waldo the Woodsman", but Waldo is true to his name, and noone knows where he is hiding... requiring you to actually find the clues through intimidation, persuasion and bribery to learn even the general area where to start tracking your mark through the wilderness... and there could be different targets hiding in different locations, some may be in disguise, and you have to learn what the disguise is before you can find them pretending to be a lolwy deckhand at Vukhel docks, while others may be holed up in some dvelve or public dungeon, trusting in all the monsters to keep them save from impeding doom...

Not to mention, location - so far there have only been contracts in the cadwells zones for me. Now I can appreciate not being sent to my characters homelands for killing (one could never know when a mark might turn out to be the childhood friend or such and thus create a conflict of interests for an assassin - not that my main character has any childhood friends left thanks to the akaviri invasion, but its the principle of the matter), but it would be nice to see contracts pop uo for cyrodil, craglorn, wrothgar and all the other DLC zones (for those who have access) as well...

I want to know why I don't have contracts on my home alliance. I don't like that, I hope it isn't intended.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

To add to this, this game needs some decent teleport abilities, like Mark & Recall and Divine Intervention.
Yes yes, you can teleport manually for gold. But that doesn't get you back into the Thieves Den or the DB Sanctuary. If you could fast travel there, it would be a different matter. I don't really mind travel time, but nobody likes to play Loading Screens Online.
Alandrol Sul: He's making another Numidium?!?
Vivec: Worse, buddy. They're buying it.

i agree, i also wonder how many contracts i need to do, in order to advance in the DB quest line. It feels like i need to do 10 contract to finally get another mission from the sanctuary itself. The contract gets to repetitive also, its always the same.
I like the contracts allot, but like Zoltan said: 1min kill, and 5min walk.

The reward is OK for me, 200 coins each kill, its not that the mission is hard to do so i think that's a good reward.
I also wander how it is that i receive contracts more then once, its the second time i need to kill someone who is feeding the thunderbugs at the same location as last time.. a bit un-immersive if you ask me

Its even that boring, that i watch Netflix on my second screen (something i would never do when i'm playing ESO, because i want to get immersed in the game). Now i just do the contracts because i want to progress in the DB quest line.

Just to add, why when we log out when in either a thieves den or sanctuary does it have a countdown as if were out in the wilds. After all these places are meant to be secure guild locations, a place to rest and relax with other like minded thieves and assassins.

I totally agree with this, and regret to not have forseen this while playing on PTS.

But after few contract, especially when your objective is to progress in the main story, it get very irritating to have to go back and forth between the Sanctuary and the whatever place where we need to kill our target. Contract are fun, but a bit too easy (especially when we do not pay attention to the bounty), so it's very fastly done, and we ended by spending way too much time in loading screen.

I'm kind of disappointed. Loading screen after loading screen. Oh look, four thousand other people doing the same quest. Great!

Piles of dead NPC bodies in every town. Not a fan to be honest.

Yes, the current repetitive contract on someone does seem to get boring. There's no challenge.. it's too quick and easy to kill that target, but nice that it gives good XP for those still pursuing 501 CP.

Omg the blade of woe finishers. Very very refreshingly violent and sexy AF. I love the addition of this.

    Oh, and agree with OP.

Actually this DLC reminds me of this - If murder was legal.
