I'm running the following:
  • 5x Black Rose
  • 2x Malubeth (heavy)
  • 2x Night's Silence on S/S and random 2h since I don't have maelstrom 2h yet.
  • 3x agility. 1 robust 2 arcane (important to have a decent magicka pool in this build)
  • All armor stam enchanted
  • All weapon damage jewelry enchants
  • All points into stam

I'm planning on doing a build video when I've polished the idea a bit more but the basic premise is:
  • stack lots of stam (when I get undaunted I will have 40k).
  • stack the rest into weapon damage (i have 3.4k buffed on my 1h/shield)
  • high mitigation (30k phys/spell resist)
  • loads of healing bonuses
    1. 25% major mending
    2. 12% draconic power passive
    3. 30% malubeth proc
    4. 10% champion points
  • no regen. my stam regen is like 550. I get ~1k back from being a redguard, ~1.8k back from constitution. Helping Hands passive returns 5% (which is ~2k). Ultimates restore via battle roar passive. Heroic slash weaving keeps minor heroism up all fight long. That's how I am able to sustain.

Get robust jewelry and use prismatic armor enchants instead to raise magicka. Basically get 2-3k hp for free that way

Yeah just didn't have the time/resources to do that yet.

You should run Leki's sword and shield instead of the Night's Silence, 129 weapon damage will let you hit harder than ~950 stam, other than that it looks good.

My modifications to this setup would be:
    1. Endurance 3-pc w/ full robust
    2. Agility weapons 2-pc
    3. Bloodspawn

At the end of the day... Reguard amazing stam race.

Id be interested in how 5 heavy seducer would be like with the new heavy changes. It so dumb that mag dk abilities cost so damn much. With the change of mist form you have some mobility. But then again mag dk lacks damage as well. They straight up broke that class haha

Solution: don't play mag dk hahahaha

Malubeth gives off insane heal potential. I'm going to try engine guardian once I get a shoulder. This was my first real fight in this build so I made a lot of mistakes with my resources. I had quite a few more fights like this throughout the night and each one my resource management got better to the point of not being an issue at the end. I just couldn't record them because shadow play stopped working. I just feel like when fighting a good player eg becomes useless because they will just interrupt it.

I thought about it. I could also run warrior instead of tower but bigger stam pool means larger returns on helping hands and a bigger pool to start from.

No I'm not. I actually hadn't even heard of those until today :pensive:. I'm going to have to try them out but I think if that also stacks with malubeth (I don't see malubeth saying it is major vit) then it will just be overkill lol. I already can get upwards of 3.5-4k vigor ticks fully buffed when malubeth procs.

I agree that malubeth is great and I think somewhat OP, but based off what I saw you didn't have issues with healing. Was just a simple suggestion with EG to help with stam sustain. Good luck with any changes you make bro :)

Oh absolutely. I appreciate it everyone's insight and was just giving my reasoning for trying malubeth first - I'm planning on trying Bloodspawn & Engine Guardian as well. Theorycrafting is always better as a group activity :). I'll definitely try EG when I get it. In this vid I should have dodged less and heavy attacked more (the heavy attack stam return update is pretty awesome too from heavy armor + the fix to it not scaling properly past lvl 50).

yup SnB with heavy is extremely potent in small scale now. Just dosent work well when you've got a group of players hitting you. Shuffle + dodge roll + LOS fares far better in that situation. Good vid tho. Nice to see there are other DKS out there running heavy + SNB.

For me, im running 5 black rose, 2 engin guardian with 5 fasallas. Use reverb bash + double dots to cause a 80% heal debuff while putting constant pressure for kills. Can make heal spammers run out of mana in like 30 seconds lol. With increased resource costs this patch, it works very well in small scale.

I actually have been in 5H seducer throughout TG. 8% cost reduction is really, really good. However, you circle around to the same problems as always: (1) what is your kill strategy on mDK and (2) how do you stay alive?
    (1) for PvE DPS you stack DoTs to insane levels. In PvP this strategy fails straight-up because it requires too many slots on your skill bars and cloak/purify is too easy to cast.
    (2) Usually, blocking. Loss of 20% cost reduction from bracing is really tough. Couple that with penetration on a 2H maul (absurd) or penetration on a destro or DW light armor build (~13k).

Yeah small scale is where it's at. For larger groups I can hold them for a bit especially if I get some lucky malubeth procs but it's often just too much.

Dots set it off, so any fight where you fight someone with Dots will quickly screw that person.

Its hit and miss basically, if you're fighting a couple people it basically stacks up really quick.

Personally I was doing it with my Nord Stamina DK, but then just realized that since i'm nord its not nearly as effective as it is with my Imperial Stamina Templar.

I've been loving my mag dk for this patch. Currently running 5 Black rose, 3 willpower, 2 bloodspawn, 2 magnus with 2 sturdy, jewl with 1 of spell damage, reduced cost, and recovery, and 27 points into shadow ward. I'm barely running out of stam, most of my sustain problems are magicka but currently my heavy resto attack gives me 4800 magicka back with no CP into tenacity. As scared as I was this patch for mag dk, I'm doing much better this patch with black rose. Spell damage caps out at around 2.6k with nirn swords with 5 heavy, i feel tanky yet capable of dealing damage. I definitely suggest trying Black rose, it is freaking awesome.
