Login Failed Connection to server timed out EU server only

Over the past few weeks I have been unable to log into the EU servers and continually get thrown back to the start screen with error message 'LOGIN FAILED connection to server timed out. Please try again later.'

I've tried hard resetting my Xbox and router with no joy, I've also tried deleting the saved data for ESO.

It's strange because occasionally as if by pot luck I can log in, but that is very, very rare.

I can login to the NA server fine every time, but I play EU.

Can anyone help?

I am currently getting this same error, but for NA. I just tried the EU server and got the same error.

It's spreading...

@ZOS_GinaBruno any info on this? I've also tried all the usual advised trouble shooting steps to no avail.

Mines been like this for the past month, but only the EU server.

I didn't complain previously as I was moving house and had a lot on, but it's extremely frustrating now I want to play!

Anyone have a fix for this?

I'm still trying in the teens every time including several hard restarts before it will let me in the game. It's been days, and every time I get booted mid PVP, or start the game for the first time I'm losing 5-60 minutes trying to log in.

I can't log in either. I am on the new preview build however, but seeing some have this issue for a few weeks now I doubt that is the cause.

NA server times out too..cant log in at all. Are the xbox one servers down?

I'm starting to feel a bit funny paying for ESO PLUS when I'm losing out on 50% of my available time to play.

Worse than that is if I but knew when I'd be losing an hour at at time vs 5 minutes trying to log onto my game I could be... You know... Having "fun" on my gaming console.

From 7:05pm New Zealand time to now (8:40pm) I've attempted several times to load the game. I've reset my router, hard restart (twice), and deleted my console save data. I'm still unable to get in more than 50 minutes later.

Why don't we just do each other a favor. You tell me what you're going to do about this issue/when it will be fixed, and I'll stop peppering every admin and developer I can find with the ample free time I have trying to log in. Seriously, I can't even get past the Game Start up screen.

I've had this problem for 2-3 weeks now on EU. I've checked everything. Router/modem/console hard reset/reinstall the game ...hitting "A" and waiting -10-20 times just to reach the character select screen. Oh, and something new: my main character is stuck in a shop in Anvil. The game crashes on loading, restarting the cycle..over. "LOGIN FAILED Connection to server timed out. Please try again later." All other online gaming/video streaming activities work great. It's just ESO, and the GD login screen. I've got ESO plus and over 1,000hours on my main character alone, with 2 other CP160's, a CP20. It's not right that I cannot access them.

I too have been having this problem recently with the NA server, I used to be able to login perfectly fine but lately i haven't been able to log in. It just says Connection to server timed out. On the rare occasion i do get in after how many tries, the game crashes not long after i get in Cyrodiil which is kind of frustrating. Granted i'm used to the crashing in Cyrodiil as i have over 1000 hours in the game but i shouldn't have any problems getting to the character select screen. My Connection is fine and so is the Xbox, It used to log in instantly and Nothing has changed with my net or console so not sure what the issue is. I was hoping the DB patch would fix it but i guess not.

Unable to login to NA servers as well.

"Login Failed
An Unexpected internal error has occurred. Please contact customer service at help.elderscrollsonline.com"

I was able to login for a quick moment, checked on a character that has been perma-crashing in Wrothgar (Orsinium) and now I can't even login anymore.

Can't wait until Skyrim is released for Xbox One so I can have something else to play during all these wonderful crashes.

Anyone have a fix? I'm having the same problem. I'm noticing it says no announcements shown. Trying to switch between EU and US doesn't work. Reset cache and router didn't work either

I cannot login on the EU server first time anymore. This has been going on for several weeks. It typically takes three attempts before I can successfully reach my character screen.

Today I could FINALLY login to the EU server, first try. But of course that was just luck. Now it takes approximately 6 tries to get in, but at least I can play.

This has been going on for more than a month. I'm real tired of this.

Every "fix" mentioned doesn't work, i.e. it's not on our end. The silence of Bethesda regarding this issue is also really encouraging. They sure love their customers!

And or course I missed the option to buy the Breton Hero Armor as I haven't been able to play in a loooong time due to these issues. Thanks a bunch. Why such a stupid limited window anyway?
