DLC progression order?

So, I've been away from the game for awhile. I finished Cadwell's Silver and plan on finishing Gold as well. After that, I'm wondering what order I should complete the DLCs from an item/item sets progression standpoint. Should I go by the order of release (Orsinium > Thieves Guild > Dark Brotherhood) or some other order? Does it really matter? I'd prefer to do TG > DB > Orsinium just based on the land mass and possibly the amount of questing. Any suggestions?

Thanks. What about item sets? Are the newer sets in DB better than sets in Orsinium?

There are no quests or storylines that intersect, and TG and DB are pretty small. Orsinium is about the size of a regular world zone with MA, an extra public dungeon, and some dailies. Actually, now that I think about it, the dailies just north of the city that give out the provisioning recipes are pretty nice - you can craft pretty good dual end level food with no skill points allocated in provisioning with them. Might be handy to have, but meh, you will survive without it.

Because of how ZOS chose to roll-out things:
    1. Craglorn is the only 50+ progression content but its free
    2. Trials are also post 50 content however some have not been updated so Sanctum O and Trial of maw, etc only apply
    3. DLC such as IC has what I would consider progressive dungeons because prior to DB nerfs they were the hardest to complete even in comparison to Vet dungeons
    4. Vet dungeons other than IC vet dungeons fall above regular in progression but below Trials in difficulty regardless of Trial level.
    5. Orsinium, TG and DB content is considered on par with levels 1-49 content as of todays definitions (I refuse to use CP as it doesn't accurately describe anything)
    -PC (PTS)/Xbox One: NewBlacksmurf
    ~<{[50]}>~ looks better than *501

If you're planning on doing everything, start TG and DB as soon as possible (yes, even before you finish Cadwell's Gold). Then you can be progressing those two guilds concurrently with Gold and Orsinium, which alleviates some of the feeling of repetition that exists as you rank up in those guilds. If you try to do the guild content all at once, you may get burnt out by the repetitive nature of the quests needed to gain reputation (particularly the DB Marked for Death contracts and TG pickpocketing jobs).

For the answer to the TG "breaks in questline to do dailies"

What I did was as soon as I got the Tip board, I would take/delete etc until I got the counting coveness quest. Then I would go back to wherever I was questing, as this is the only one where you can collect the needed items anywhere in the world, either by pickpocketing OR looting house items. So I would just quest along, picking where I could, and eventually I would get what I needed naturally. I would then go turn in and get another one, repeat until you gain about 4 lvls in the thieves guild. At this point you should be able to go to the Landing and progress through the TG main quest line unfettered.

Another note, one of the rewards for this quest is a stack of 10 of some misc. item. Don't sell right away. These are the very items you will be sent out to get in subsequent quests. At one point, I had a stack of everything (utensils, maps, oddities, etc). So, at this point, upon receiving the counting coveness quest, I would get an auto complete, so all I had to do was a few wayshrines and I was done. Did like 10 in a row in about 15 minutes once this way. Actually, I think I was max TG before I even continues the questline, which you certainly don't need to do, but I wanted the 30 Tip board quests completed achievement anyway.

Yep, I agree. Had my characters not already been maxed out I'd be doing that on my alts after doing them on my main. However, TG/DB quests should be placed all around or some way to accept / complete them remotely. Because if you had to level then travel back and forth for your current quests just to grab the quests and complete the quests then turn in the quests associated with TG/DB.... while already having to travel back and forth for their quests.. you still MAY get sick of the repetition.

At least doing them on repeat you have one focus and level up their lines pretty fast.... however I think it would be much more preferable to level them while doing other things so being able to access them easily from anywhere would be nice.

Heck that feature built into the UI is a suggestion I've made some time ago (although it probably never even got looked at)..for dailies that we have already completed, go in and choose what to accept for the day with remote turn in fee (think like a carrior pigeon or magicka, etc. if you want to make it lore friendly).

Yeah, completely agree with that. You should be able to access a Tip Board and a Marked for Death ledger in every Outlaws Refuge, and be able to turn them in to the same place (either the board/ledger again, or one of those NPCs in the refuges that don't do anything else).
