What to do with my guild bank?

I, like several other players I know, had the luck to be in a guild that became defunct, leaving me with 500 bank slots. Now with the crafting bag, I have to figure out what to do with it. Should I join another PvP guild or a Trials guild? So many choices..

Or keep it, in case you ever decide to have a 2nd account - very handy way of passing items between your 2 accounts!

I'm not an altaholic, so I would never have a 2ND account. Plus I can buy 4 more slots now!

I don't see where the problem is - there is no obligation to actually use all 500 slots - just let them empty, if you have no use for it, those do not cost you anything nor would they hinder you doing anything.

My guild bank will about half be filled with provisioning recipes, surveys, motifs - and I will need that stuff for new characters anyway. And I drop now as well sets, which I do no longer use into it, for my new characters to be used. So that they do not have to craft that stuff, but just change to new gear, when they'll get to a new level. And this is a lot of stuff - think of all the thief guild sets I will have on store there from different levels - I still have low level characters, so they change armor and weapons quite often during leveling.

There is a 5 guild limit though, OP may find a play guild or an active trading guild of more use than 500 unused slots - therefore it is hindering the number of active guilds they can be in...

What are you talking about? There is no problem. I was starting a discussion on defunct guilds being used as a personal bank.

It is refreshing though that I will be able to add a 5th functional guild now to my list.

If you don't want it, offer it to others - people without a sub could put it to good use

That's what I was thinking. I wonder what the value is on such a thing?

Or use it for its original purpose - make it an active guild.

You can if you want. Too much trouble for someone with as little gaming time as myself.

Use it to store old armor, weapons, jewelry for the new characters you will make and level. That way those are not cluttering up your bank.

Yeah that is an option. With 240 bank spaces and 200 spaces/character though, I don't think I would need an extra 500. That is my dilemma.

I'm in a similar situation... Guild went defunct except for two of us. Now, we'd like to do something with the guild again, but we don't have sufficient permissions to make significant changes (we can already add/remove items, so we're not trying to clean out the place - we can do that already). The player that created the guild (and has all the permissions) hasn't logged on for over 12 months. We'd like to clean up the roster and set new guild levels.

    Edit: And invite new members!

I was in the same situation. Send a request ticket and tell them your scenario. They will promote the highest ranking active player as new guild leader.
