Can someone tell me what changes tomorrow with vma? Without being rude and snarky

    Honestly, read the patch notes. You can either read the PTS patch notes, but that would be 4/5 different threads or wait for the release of the live patch notes today. Best to read it for oneself.

    But here is the gist.

    Improved the rewards for Maelstrom Arena so now every level of the Arena is guaranteed to grant a set item.
    Note: The only exception is the final Arena on Veteran mode, which may still drop a Maelstrom Weapon instead.
    Maelstrom Arena leaderboard rewards are now guaranteed to contain a Maelstrom Weapon, and have an additional 50% chance to award a piece of Jewelry as well.
    Expanded the weapons awarded through the Maelstrom Arena leaderboard to include a wider variety of Traits, including Nirnhoned.

    I was excited to hear about the nirnhoned at first, but it seems that it might not be as good as it sounds. Looks like sharpened is still the way to go if you're looking to maximise dps.

    And here's me with 6 defending Maelstrom staffs. :(

    In addition to what Giles.floydub17_ESO said, chests at the end have a 50% chance to drop a weapon, 50% chance to drop jewelry.

    Theres a thread somewhere that kind of proves that sharp is better dps than nirn.

    I have every character level 50, both a magicka and stamina version.

    I think for DW Nirn main, Sharpened offhand would be the way to go. Put a few extra CP into penetration to get some extra oomph and you're golden.

    Now the last chest will drop Arcane Rings of Glory instead of Well-Fitted Helms of Glory. And should you ever get a Maelstrom weapon, it will have the Training trait.

    PTS patch notes are in 4/5 different threads. I only pulled from the first one. People need to read the patch notes for themselves to be the full picture.

    Today they will provide the live patch notes that have everything in one place (they may have already posted them). I really suggest everyone reed the patch notes for yourself. Much has changed.
