Gankblade advice requested

Magicka based Nightblade. I have all skills in three skill trees unlocked. I am currently running sword and board main and bow as secondary. I am willing to respec CP and skills if someone can give me a real, and viable Gankblade build. Thanks!

Well personally what I would do is go to the character select screen and delete the character, but that's me. If you're serious though, just look to the forums for what everyone complains about you'll find it.

My personal actual recommendation is dual swords, gives a bonus to damage and hey, one more item for whatever set you want it to be. That, proxy det, soul tether, siphoning stuff, there ya go. Want single target? You've got more tools to choose from than you can shake a dead in the water shieldless sorc at come DB.

Bow and S/S are worthless for what you're trying to accomplish. Go DW/Resto.

Fair enough. Should I be using siphon abilities? Which buffs would you suggest?

I definitely slot soul tether. Also I slot lotus fan, mass hysteria , siphoning strikes, and soul siphon .

This would had been better for the PVP forums.It sounds like you want to be a stamblade with that setup only thing getting killed with that set up is you.

This is your best bet if you want to be a magicka nightblade "ganker". Magicka nighblades (without the stated tether, proxy AoE bomb) lack the burst damage you need for a serious ganking setup.

But I think I know what you are trying to do, and what others have said in this thread is helpful. Drop the weapons you have now, get you some torug's pact swords, and a resto staff. If you don't have proxy detonation yet, you aren't going to be able to achieve that quick damage output. So, you're best bet is concealed weapon, lotus, impale for a decent mid-range execute, and cripple works really well as a minor cc, dot, and buff for you.

You might also consider destro staff instead of swords for other viable skills, place the freedom to not have to be in melee range.

SypherPK has an entire series of video's dedicated to this and they work. Gank is about high burst at the expense of being squishy. Sword and Board isn't going to do anything for you. You're going to need to run divines as well instead of impen on this build. It is fun, but can be frustrating.

Bow is worthless for ganking? Interesting. Now I can't figure out how I got all these stones.

You need to go vampire and start leveling up ledgerman for sneak buff.
Dual wield swords for DPS with resto as buff bar.

Dual wield bar: sap, inner light, stife, mass hyseria, finisher or gap closer.

resto: entropy, bubble shield, proxy det, flex, flex

Good luck young gankblade!
Magic nightblade is currenty my favorite tank or DPS in the game.
Coming dark brotherhood you will be able to duck any gaurd easily, I cant believe I used to let them kill me.

Bar One (Duel Wield)
Lotus Fan
Concealed Weapon
Sap Essence
Mass Hysteria
Dark Cloak
Ult -- Incapacitating Strike or Soul Harvest

Bar Two (Destro Staff)
Double Take
Piercing Mark or Cammo Hunter
Funnel Health
Force Pulse
Vigor
Ult -- Shooting Star or Devouring Swarm

Gear 5 piece Kraganacs, 2 piece Magnus Gold all v16
Chest and Legs heavy Infused the rest light divines
3 Willpower and with Spell Damage
Weapons Destro Staff Magus Flame Damage Sharpened or Nirnhoned Gold v16
Swords Magnus Purple or Gold v16

Rotation: Being in stealth prior to attack is important. First switch to bar 2 and use double take, then back to bar one. Dark Cloak, then gap close with Lotus Fan followed by Concealed weapon weaving in a light attack then cloak, sap essence, concealed weapon cloak, fear, concealed weapon Incpacitating strike. If need be Rinse and repeat. You can almost keep Incpacitating strike up constantly only requires 50 ult.

Bar 2 is for a distance attack and wearing down your prey's resources

Rotation Double Take, Piercing mark, heavy attack weaving in funnel health, force pulse weaving in light attacks switch to bar 1 rotation if necessary

Why Destro and not Restro. For the additional damage a destro light and heavy attacks will give coupled with force pulse and funnel health. If you want to use a restro then also use prox det.

Your most effective tools as a Magblade is cloak and fear Always cloak prior to and in between attacks. When in trouble double take and fear then cloak out and break line of site if possible. As a Magblade using the above build i can stay in cloak indefinately with 41k Magicka, 1900 Magicka recovery un-buffed. I use tri food v15 that boosts health, stam and magicka along with spell damage potions. This build is also based on having 501 champion points.

Ultimate: Soul harvest.

Bar 2: Restoration staff

Proximity detonation, Double take, sallow soul/ efficient purge, Healing ward, merciless resolve
Ultimate: Soul tether.

I recently unlocked magick det with my sorc. First time I ever used it. That ability rocks! Time to get it for my nb.
