Are there any plans to introduce glamours to eso?

I love wearing my kena helm but hate how it looks. Can we have glamours to make certain pieces of gear look like other pieces?

Currently I have the hide helmet option turned on. But I would like it to look like I am wearing a hood.

I imagine we will see a hood available as a hat purchasable through the crown store in time. Is your suggestion of a glamour different to that?

They are going to start selling hats in the crown store starting with Dark Brotherhood. So they could very well add in a hood.

A "glamour" is an item that allows you to make one piece of gear you have look like another you have. For example, I have a kena helm and a hood of julianos. I want to wear the kena helm because of the two piece bonus I get, but I want it to look like the hood. Using a glamour on the helm would change its appearance to look like the hood.

I hope not. That will destroy crafting and the options of styles.

nah not really, since they could easily make it require using several crafting style mats than usual (or 1 mimic stone) making the value of crafting style stones go up

and less people who craft and more people who just go clicky clicky for a change. If one wants a style one should work for it -- not some lazy menu option.

you can't craft Monster or drops set items so nice try with that one, being able to change loots of items is completely fine. give it a crafting stone cost (10?) so that they burn them more and the value will go up due to demand. and you'll probably think "but hurr they wont need moar!" well some people change look stupidly often. trust me it'll raise the value. i'v seen it in the past.

It's not a matter of working for a style. A glamour or transmogrification can be set up so it only changes an item into another style you already know. So if I want my kena helm to look like say the xivkyn hood, I would need to know that crafting style first and possess a xivkyn head piece to act as the model for the transmogrification.

? What are you on about? How does one work for instance, "making a kena helm look like crafted argonian" ? And how do I get my hundings chest piece in the first place? Id need to know 6 traits to craft it or get someone who knows 6 traits to craft it. Just make the transmorgification require an item to be consumed. For instance, if I want my kena helm to look like a glass helm, id need a glass helm that I must be willing to "consume" during the changing process. That way, the value of crafters is unaffected. In a game where crafting gear can be used up to end game content, the fear that crafting will be devauled is crazy talk. Most mmos crafting gear is trash tier. You basically find drops from world trash packs that are better than crafted gear... At least with ESO you can wear crafting gear at end game..

My cat's whisker stats do not increase his stealth, quite the opposite, the tickle factor gives a vital 2 second warning that he is about to try and wake me by licking my face, giving me ample time to wake and move my face out of the way of the purry-drool-zone.

    Improved Wardrobe features please! :)

Would be a certainly useful feature for ESO!

Actually, a "glamour" is a general term for a kind of magical illusion. Usually one that makes the object or individual appear more desirable than it appears. It's frequently associated directly with faeries. To the best of my knowledge the term isn't used in The Elder Scrolls at all. But, this is a general folklore and fantasy term, not an MMO one, per say.

There've been lots of requests to transmute gear. It looks like what we'll end up with is probably more costume options.

he does that on purpose.I spoke with him about it and we had a good laugh. He was concerned about not having a good stockage of cat treats.

The last mmo I played before ESO was FF14. Transmogrification was referred to as glamour in that game.

OP I have literally NEVER heard the word glamour be used for this purpose...
What I have heard of though is:

    Transmute / transmutation
    Transmog / transmogrification

The word glamour is usually used for beauty in advertising or other things in photography.
