Kicked to login screen?

For some reason I keep getting kicked to the login screen. Prior to this happening each time I lose all interaction in game and all npc's are unresponsive. I have not had a single kick in over a day now since modifying my HOSTS file. Prior to that I was getting booted about roughly 3 times a day or so. Not only am I getting kicked but my wife is getting this as well. Is this affecting anyone else?

i did the fix. seemed to work, momentarily, but now i'm back to being randomly kicked to login.

yesterday i also had several ctd's with the 'eso has stopped working' 'what were you doing' box.

I can not stay connected today either. Lucky to be ingame for 5 min before being kicked. I would consider this unplayable atm.

Are any of you using Master Merchant/other addons? I was crashing pretty frequently, eventually got rid of my Saved Variables data along will all of my addons. I reinstalled the rest of them and then I didn't have an issue until recently, which I found was due to Master Merchant (after removing all of my addons and testing one by one).

I am not using Master Merchant. In fact I have not installed any new addons today. The game was rock solid until about 90 minutes ago and now both I and my wife are getting disconnects after maybe 5 minutes in game.

Don't have master merchant. I don't use that many addons but will try your advice and eliminate them one by one.

Just removed all my addons and the saved variables. Was disconnected within 5 - 10 minutes.

It is a disconnect not a crash. Game doesn't freeze or lockup. It's like a massive lag spike where I can still see my character/mouse move but am unable to interact with anything for a minute or two before I am kicked to the login screen.

This is unplayable for me.

So @Kippesnikke suffers from this and I think he fancies telling the forum how it makes him feel.

It happens to me once every blue moon, quite annoying, especially whilst raiding.

just ran a "tracert" to "198.20.198.110" live games servers and timed out after Dallas I am guessing the fact that the live servers are in Maryland and there is an outage around there could be the issue ...

That is pretty certain a connection issue and not related to the game performance nor the client performance - after what you guys are telling about it.

Then for sure you have connectivity problems. Could be at your end, ethernet/LAN/wifi/firewall problem, or in the ISP part, but if you get to login screen without message it's 100% sure you have one of those.
