Will ESO upgrade alongside them? And would you make the purchase?
If rumors are true then PS4 and Xbox One are getting slimmer (but more importantly) more powerful versions coming in 2017.
If this is true then can we expect ESO to make the purchase worthwhile? Because if ESO is the same I won't bother, I'll just wait till ESO does evolve with the hardware.
But remember these are just rumors ATM.

✭✭✭✭✭the consoles (xbox one) the game doesn't even work reliable enough today so while it makes sense to update and offer settings changes for the current and any future systems, its impossible to know how the game was made but based on the lack of insight shown from ZOS as respects to consoles, I doubt we will see that level of update in 2017.

✭Current console MMORPG's have upgraded with the hardware, DCUO or FFXIV for example.
So if consoles do get more powerful versions I personally think ESO would upgrade with them.0 -

✭Na probably not the PS3 and PS4 servers remained together on the same server so it was purely optional.
And FYI I have a rig. Piece of crap I spent over 2000 on and for what? An extremely low population with a horrible M&K set up on a game that was clearly all along intended to do better on consoles : )
I'd bet that either console has a bigger population than the PC and bring in a hell of lot more cash too.

All I know is I don't have hardly any of the problems I hear PC players complain about on these forums. Accept for Cyro lag, which apparently is as inevitable as death and taxes. So you all can keep making your arguments about better graphics, blueray players,etc...but I enjoy playing more on PS4. But I guess actual experience on both platforms is not good enough for you. and I'm not so naïve to pretend there isn't console issues.
I see their threads weekly here. Xbox DCs in Orsinium, lag, 12 year olds doing nasty things to your mom, gf, wife, daughter, sister, brother, aunt, DDOS attacks on their service all the time, etc etc etc etc.

The rumor is upgraded hardware on these supposed slim consoles...which would mean current games would need to be updated and coded to take use of said upgraded hardware.0 -

iam117✭✭✭it will not be a new console perse, it still run on the same software, newer games would just be able to use better engines to take advantage of more powerful hardware, similar to the xbox 360 and the 360 slim, its not a new generation of console, so no reason to change the game.

I have played both, and to the chagrin of my fellow console players I have to say that the graphics are better on PC (as long as your pooter can handle it). But unless you're playing them side by side, no you won't notice the difference. It's really more about how you like to play. The platforms are a little different in that sense. They both have positives and negatives.

What Im curious about is how theyll handle the next generation. We're already working on the half way point of these consoles (if we're to base them on past life cycles). The majority of console players wont jailbreak their ps4 at risk of being bricked and banned by sony.
Consoles are 99.99 percent bot free. Now in game glitches are another story0
