Will Bosmer and Argonians be the new meta for DB?

With the introduction of poisons this upcoming DLC. It seems two races really stand out, and possibly will have a better chance of resisting the effects of poisons. It might not be by much but Im assuming anyone thats a min-maxer is going to take a hard look at Bosmer and Argonians to see how they stack up against these big changes that are coming to PvP.

Anyone looking at possibly rolling Bosmer and/or Argonians with these hefty changes?

Their resistance applies to the poison damage, but not the other effects like root, stamina cost increase etc

I have 3 very cute Argonians that I love! At least, the race is more than RP now. I play them because I like the race, not for the numbers tell me to do so. I am glad that the numbers are a lining up to make the race more than RP.

Is it a buff to these classes? Yes. Is it going to make them more desiriable to a min/maxer? I highly doubt it. Boosts to Stats, Regen, and Crit will still trump damage mitigation.

Maybe I did word that wrong. But what I meant was the actual damage that poisons were going to mette out. The added effects are obviously going to be outside of that sphere of influence. Either way, these are passives that now have a use in PvP.

you can run 5 kags front bar and 5 alch back bar and get both 5th bonuses

Not at the same time..... It just changes from 5th on one set to the other. You'll never get two 5th set bonuses on crafted gear without jewelry. Now, if they ever add in Jewelry crafting, people are going to have a ton of choices on builds....

yes but you buff alch on the back bar and the buff stays when you swap to front bar, works just fine, lots of poeple do this with multiple sets

True. Personally, I like builds where I can get two 5th item bonuses working at the same time. It limits me to one dropped and one crafted, but works pretty good currently.

Yea you can.. My magiblade runs 5/5 clever Alchemist on back bar, with 4 armor pieces and 1 resto staff, and 3 armor pieces of vicious death with 2 swords.
that makes it 5/5 on clever alchemist and 3/5 on vicious death while on the resto bar, and 5/5 vicious with 4/5 alchemist on front bar. pretty burst'y setup.

Clarifying:
The buff from the clever alchemist when you drink a potion lasts for 15 seconds even if you swap bars and drop the 5/5 bonus.

That's not two crafted sets, one crafted and one dropped. I said it couldn't be done with crafted gear.

@Lenikus, are you using Kena items also? I have only the Kena shoulder now and run Julianos and Vic Death on both bars with both 5 set bonuses. I've got D/W Vic Death on bar 1 with jewelry and belt and 5 armor julianos. Then I have a Vic Death Resto staff on Bar 2 and can still get both 5 set bonuses. You could do the same setup with Alchemist.

I thought about this. Regent is terrible for pve, so red guards and imperials will still probably be the meta for stamina classes because they have a higher sustain for most content, and are viable either way

Argonians will never be the new meta. It's always about max stats because damage is increased with max magicka and Stamina. Until they balance these passives better, the lizard-folk will always be the last choice.

yup, race matters way too muh in the game. vmsa can be hell if you're not the perfect race. Forget leaderboards.

there are two races in eso: redguard and high elf.

I highly doubt the pittance of poison/disease resistance these races get will effect the situation in any meaningful way. If these passives helped mitigate the debuffs it would perhaps be more meaningful, but they do not. The only thing this will help is a SLIGHT reduction in the damage taken from poisons. Races which are inherently tougher will handle the poison better (Imperial, Nord, etc). Skills like cleansing ritual and efficient purge are going to be far more meaningful. Maybe we'll get lucky and get a purge/cleanse potion trait available to deal with debuffs in the future. So no I don't think this will make Argonians/Bosmer more awesome by any stretch. The difference is only very incremental.

I would like to add it would be nice if Cold Resistance helped with the slow debuffs from cold effects that Nords face (or frost resistance enchants for that matter, the same holds true for fire and burning).

Yup. That's the way I run it too. Hundings x5 and Alchemist x5. Pop the potion and switch bars if necessary.

I've cleared vMSA with an Argonian Magblade and have made Leaderboard with him before so...

Race only matters for min/max. You can use any race for any setup if you lik3. For instance, I use my bosmer as mag and Stam depending on my mood. Cable notater which way I go. Same goes for my red guard and high elf.you do not need to be min/max to complete content. To get the best leader board scores...perhaps. race really is not a huge decision, but it helps.
