Structured PvP Idea [Unrealistic]

Okay I know this will never be a reality for obvious reasons, but imagine a scenario where everyone is arranged in pairs and spread out with their enemy pairing across a battle field. When the fight starts, you can only fight your partner until one of you falls, then you can join in any other fight and if you are a part of a pairing that hasn't seen anyone killed yet, you can fight back against the uncoupled fighters as well. It'd be a little complex to code and such but it would be a fun and interesting experience don't you think?

I see no reason for this in ESO contextually. What would be the reason you can only fight the one other player? What's the narrative behind the idea?

Just place two players in an arena and let them duke it out. Create different arena brackets and have winners go up against one another.

What ESO really needs is an Auction Horse.
    That's right... Horse.

Cyrodiil isn't designed to be structured though. I would assume this is to try and counter lag/zergs.

It's more akin to sandbox PvP where you have the area, you have the objectives and you achieve them the way you want.
