Also, PvP and PvE are different. Above links are good for PvE. For PvP, you can think about other setups. 5pc heavy tavas favor + bloodspawn, for example, can be quite effective in PvP.

Set enemy off balance with lightning staff, proc Unweaver with a stamina skill and drop heavy lightning staff attacks on mobs which does really good AoE damage (140% at close range). I use the stamina morph of burning breath to proc the set bonus.

Yes, DoTs can crit. I have seen 40K heavy attacks when all 4 DoTs of the lightning staff heavy attack crit.

I have tried this build in vMSA and got the the final boss but kept running out of stamina up top with the crystals. It's a pretty cheesy build in PvP as you can drop 10k heavy attacks on people from 50 meters that can't be dodged.

Great build man. I want to make a really high DPS heavy attack Magicka DK one day. This could be it!

Yes, I believe so. One point of spell damage is 40x more effective for raising your staff attack damage than one point of magicka. As opposed to being the 10:1 ratio for skill tool tip damage. So maximizing spell damage is key to this build. I do not have the kena helm or maelstrom staff myself. I find that using a shock enchant on the staff sets people off balance with the elemental blockade more so than other enchants. But the maelstrom staff would definitely be stronger for more long range damage.

I'm on a redgaurd so damage could be a bit higher with a High Elf.

Also, this set is not dropping on the PTS so you may want to acquire it before DB release.
