I was watching a youtube video and saw a guy using a wired ui in eso I did a bit research found out it was advanced ui and you install it using minion l. My question is if I install aui will i get banned

✭AUI is highly reputable. To this day, I have yet to hear of someone getting banned for it, and hundreds (at least) players use it. Most addons (maybe all of them, tbh) that you find on Minion are safe. Even the ones that come with disclaimers saying "this can be flagged as botting blah blah blah" are just people covering their butts. Addons like Wykkyd's are the closest thing you'll get to botting, and I gear-swap with it several times a day, and have for two years now.
The API is used for many things, two of which are botting and addons. Addons are allowed, and botting is not. If you aren't doing the latter (which is not the case with any addon you find on Minion or ESOUI) then you aren't at risk of being banned. ZOS gives us access to the API, so addons can't do anything they haven't "told" us is okay.Edited by Autolycus on May 24, 2016 4:00PM2 -

✭✭Addons can only do what ZOS allows them access to. As far as I know, no one has ever gotten banned for addons ever.PC/EU DC2 -

✭✭✭✭✭Of Zos doesn't like an add-on doing something, they just change stuff on the back end so it can't do that anymore. Has happened with a few, barely any, addons. As far as I know though they never have banned anyone though - since originally the add-on was doing something zos' API allowed it to do.
