spears?

i think this would be a great new weapon to add to the game with so many skill possibilities it was in TES 3 morrowind and easily one of my favorite weapons i would love to see it added what about you guys? any ideas for skills? i would love a spear aoe spinning above your head really fast!

This has been bought up to them many times along with the unarmed line and crossbows.

They have said at this time they have no plans to add any new weapon styles to the game.

...in the hopes of them someday changing their mind and adding more options for all of us to enjoy.
I mean, just because they have no plans to add any new weapon stales to the game -now- does not mean they might not do it next year... right?

I've been asking for polearms to be added, either as a new skill line or as a fourth weapon style in the 2handed line, since PC beta testing. It will probably never happen until ZOS finds a way to monetize new weapon lines (because everything has to be a crown store purchase these days).

Cape physics is one of the prime contributors to client side lag in the games that have it.
Then again, they could put an option in settings not to load the capes.

I want a spear line too, although I'd prefer the skill didn't involve a lot of baton-twirling. The main reason to do something like that with a spear is if your opponent has closed the gap to their advantage and used defensively. The pointy end though should really be the important part of a spear skill line (Spear+Shield as well as Longspear). I'd really like to see both of these in game too.

Spear and shield Hop-Lite style or Heater Shield and Pilum Roman style, either would be cool.

Hop-Lite would be a tanky DPS

Heater/Pilum would be kinda a range spear throw followed by a closer and tanky goodness.

We've got dozens of these threads. You could of used the search bar to find one thats been brought up in the last month. We really didnt need another thread.

I remember how many topics on the Bethesda forums for Skyrim there were asking for spears too.

Nice to have some continuity.

I don't really mind it personally. Every time a new person brings it up, it just makes the point that it is a highly desired weapon type, possibly worthy of their time to invest in (when they have such time to invest). Its not as though there aren't any npc's that don't use it, and the Templar class already has the beginnings of some of it.

ZOS just put them in front of the wrong guild hall, and forgot to add spell projectiles.

True enough. And if they gave me all the stuff I'd want... I'd be willing to pay extra for each. Weapon Pack. Class Morphs. Brutality Pack. And more... oh, well, who knows, maybe someday they will pick up some of the better ideas...

This game already has Spears, Crossbows,Whips, Throwing knives, Summons and Bound Weapons 1 of which is a daedric artefact.

Templars have a spear
Dragonknights have a whip
Sorcerors can Summon
Nightblades have Bound Weapons
Duel Wield has 2 different throwing objects, one of them is from the deadly cloak ability
Fighters Guild has a Crossbow and it's ultimate is a bound daedric artefact.
