What about a roleplay server?

Alrighty. So I have played numerous MUDs and MUSHs in my time and would love to see a roleplay server.

However for this to happen there would have to be a few things. Firstly, an actual set of admin whom oversee the roleplay. Basically you straighten out trolls and reward good RP.

Secondly youd have to allow a kill anyone anytime fight system. While administrators should be included in big roleplay, such as planning a vampiric overthrow of elden root, small RP conflict can occur over little thiings and needsto. Such as Wrobel the Vampire forgot to feed and ran into Gina the vampire slayer.

Different city leaderships should get established, even guild leaderships could become player run. Those in power positions are expected to insight roleplay.

I just think it would be totally fresh.

I kinda doubt the powers that be would consider it worth the cost of another megaserver...

...although I for one would find it nifty and want to take all my characters into roleplay land!

The PTS? seriously what's stopping you from creating a max level character for the occasion and just RPing there? although its a good idea as RP is the lifeblood of an mmoRPg

This game was designed from the ground up with this 'megaserver' concept. A new server for roleplay is really just not going to happen. Fortunately you can join 5 guilds so.....

I would agree that in this game good roleplay would require more pvp but an entire server with a special ruleset for a tiny fraction of players is super unlikely. Unfortunately, I believe the closest thing to what you'd like might be if they one day added duels within factions.

A server like you describe would be quickly ruined by non rpers and zenimax does not have to resources to prevent that from happening..... maybe if everyone who used it paid 100 bucks a month they could hire some staff just to manage the server.

No thank you. I play both a PVE character and a roleplay character. I roleplay my character much weaker than she is in level. The lovely thing is this megaserver has "shards" and many of the roleplaying community has added each other in such a way that we get put in the same one together. Riften is extremely populated with roleplayers.

If we start making wishes...

I'd want a "character backstory" tab on "inspect". Where roleplayers can identify themselves by writing character backstories, and gamers can... brag about their last Maelstrom run or whatever those folks would use it for...

We don't have different servers based on game play options. It's regional based on platform only and will never be any different.

At that, they have and continue to introduce changes to help RP but like everything else, don't expect it to work like it does in game such as SWToR. Just isn't going to happen.

Edit: even swtor with a rich RP community doesn't have not need admins for RP.
