Can't reply to tells?

So why is it that in PvP when people rage at me from other factions they can send me tells but when I try to reply with a response it doesn't go through? Are they sending tells and then quickly putting me on ignore so I don't get a chance to respond? This is kinda irritating.

You don't need to know the @name. All you have to do is set yourself to "offline" mode and you cant receive tells. They're just salty that's all lol

All too often I notice that people actually PvP while having their contact status set to "Offline". While in offline status, you can still send tells but you can't receive them. Sometimes people, even those who are prone to raging at being killed, forget they are set to Offline and cannot be responded to. It actually isn't always "They blocked me right away", though that does happen. I am unsure if you can send a tell to someone you have blocked though. So if you try to reply almost immediately, and it doesn't go through, it may just be that they are appearing offline on their side.

Personally, I would like for those who are appearing offline to be notified that their message cannot be sent as they cannot be replied to while in this status.

Post above is correct. Sometimes players are in 'offline' mode therefore you cannot send tells to them directly, even after they sent you a tell.
