Absolutely Not Suspicious title?

Noticed a guy in Deshaan yesterday with a very.. suspicious title. Anybody have any idea what might've caused this?
Is this possibly something caused by MM, FTC or is this some kind of hidden title or glitch?

    There are multiple ones that display those custom titles, one of them is the skyshards addon. If you check the libcustomtitles file of the skyshards addon you'll find:
    ["@sirinsidiator"] = { -- Dev / EU. v5
    			["Illonia Ithildû"] = {
    				ov = true,
    				en = "Planeswalker",
    				fr = "Arpenteuse de Mondes",
    				de = "Weltenwanderer",
    			},
    			ov = true,
    			en = "Absolutely Not Suspicious",
    			fr = "Carrément pas suspect",
    			de = "Absolut Nicht Verdächtig",

    which displays that title for that player. If you want to have your own special title displayed, you need to contact the developer of a popular addon and ask him to add your name and title of choice to his addon code.

    I've seen people edit the date of completion on their finished achievements. One guy linked an achievement that he "finished" in 1970. IMO it's a really bad thing if people can play with an MMO so openly like this and it needs to be looked into.

    The addons I had installed at the time were Master Merchant, Foundry Tactical Combat and Lorebooks. Could've been any one of those, from what I understand though it should only display to other users who have the same addon installed.

    I agree Runaan, it should be looked into.

    I wouldn't be surprised if ESO starts looking into breaking add-ons if things like that keep up, like how WoW broke the AVR add-on in 3.whatev. The more people become aware of it the more likely they will do something about it, especially if people start getting reported for having a title that is non-existant in the achievements.

    As much as I like add-ons they can be a curse too. Take last year, the one who made elvui for WoW added in coding that he could control other people's toons if they had his add-on installed. reddit link talking about elvui And weakauras has a scam where they can take all you gold and that one is more recent and still an ongoing trouble. reddit link about weakauras

    So if you download add-ons, do be extremely careful. Make sure you are downloading it from a place you moderately trust and even if you don't quite understand coding, take a little peak at what is in there and gander at it. Sometimes you can find things that you might not want in there, like the before mentioned elvui and weakaura fiascos. And if there is something you do find that makes you worried or unsure, post it in the forums, either here or where you downloaded it (like esoui.com) and ask about it. The people on both can tell you if it's benign and if not, maybe how to take it out or another add-on that is 'clean' to use that does the same thing.

    If you install an addon that adds this title to a player, then yes. If you don't use addons or check what your addons do before installing them, then you see his real title.

    And just to make sure everyone gets it: If you change the file on your computer, it will only change the titles you see. If you want other people to see you with a fancy title they need to add your new title to the addon code on their computer.

    Well this is somewhat interesting... New guild only add-on which give me my own title.

    I doubt it. I don't think the add-on author would allow you to copy existing titles.

    That's most likely done by editing the link, not the achievement. If you know the code, you can link VR18 items too.

    Why use such a boring title you could get in game when you could have a title like "Lawful Weevil" or "Defender of the Dumplings"?
