Hey all

So finally reached vet 16 and got round to crafting some set gear. DK Breton currently rocking the following

5 piece Julianos
3 peice Torugs pact (head, shoulders, staff)
3 piece willpower (all jewellery)

Im using dest and resto staff and am having trouble with decent rotation with buffs. I "like" having green blood as self heal on both bars. Could I hear some suggestions for bar specs?.

My current bar one is to buff with structured entropy, heavy fire staff hit, destructive reach weave, molten whip then force pulse.

Bar 2 is a mish mash of a few DK skills

    use searing strike healing morph,dragon blood isn't all that great.

    I think the problem is that DKs are best suited to close range combat, so using a staff isn't always optimal as your abilities like lash ect are close range.

    Have you tried using 1h+shield? A lot of magDKs run with that. This is why I'd like a 1h Magicka weapon, it would be ideal for this set up.

    Just because Destruction Staff's attacks are long ranged doesn't mean it's any worse at close range. By choosing to use 1h/S or DW, you are losing Impulse, Wall of Elements, and most importantly, weaving.

    Of course it does, it's a ranged weapon, so like I said it's not always optimal at close range. As a ranged weapon the advantage is being able to damage the opponent before they can reach you, but as a DK you want to be up close.

    I am talking in terms of PvP though, the OP didn't state what he wanted to do. In PvE then yes, the staff is fine and you'll need the weaving and wall of elements like you've stated for maximum DPS on bosses.
