Full nirn light armor set

Hello folks!
I crafted myself full nirn light armor set and I am really confused. My spell resistances in non-nirn full light armor set is around 10k and with full nirn armor it went up just to 11k...
So there are few questions.
1) Why my resistances increased to slightly?
2) Why nirnstones cost around 5k if they are worthless? (because of research?)

Nirnhoned, for now, is used on weapons. The weapon additional damage and prevention is good.
The armor version is only expensive for the research...0 -
Zyle✭✭✭✭✭Nirn used to increase your overall spell resistance by %, now it increases the armor piece it is applied to by %. Putting it on light armor will yield the lowest increase in spell resistance. It was a huge difference but ZOS never intended it to be overall so it was a bug fix. I do agree it could use a boost in effectiveness though as there isn't a real advantage to running it anymore.
