Guild Auction House Only...

I would like to at least see a guild auction house that could be accessible in the banks. Then I would like to see the game programmed so under the rule set, that any one in a guild of at least 10 players would be on that list in the guild auction house. Bidding for the stalls would stay the same...

The game already works this way other the the limit is 50 members.

So you're just asking for the limit to be reduced to 10 members, at which time why do 10 members need a store to sell something to one another as the guild is so small.

I was talking about selling to everybody with at least 10 players guilded that would be on a list. Thoughs that have the stalls get top billing on the front page of the list. The bidding for stalls would stay the same...

Sorry I still don't quite understand what you're asking for then.

I think what you're saying is there should be an auction house (global?) but only only guilds with ten or more members could access it? In which case the bidding on the traders would prove pointless even if they are listed on the front page.

Most people would still search for the best deals no matter what the page is and buy cheapest, meaning it's not advantageous for large trade guilds to sink the millions they do a week into their traders. The current system is working fine and most complaints with it are about difficulties of smaller guilds getting into the trade guild game or that finding items can be a pain having to move around all the stores.

Yes. Other then actually possessing the stall, many would just look for the best prices at the bank on the global trader. I Was thinking about the programmers and making it easy for them. But anyone would be able to buy, as usual.
just for getting the stalls it would stay the same. But if that Guild didn't get the bid for the stall. They would still be on the list to sell their stuff...

If this is suggesting a global auction house available to guilds with 10 people, I don't think this is a good idea. The bar is way too low and it adds in all the complexity of a global auction house and removes the need for the traders completely.

However, if the suggestion is to open the guild store for internal sales before the guild hits 50, that is not as bad of an idea. This would set two guild store bars. The first being when the store is available to members, the second being when they could hire a guild trader.

I'm sure there can be many ways to do this. But four things must be acknowledge,

1: Make it as easy as possible, at least in theory for the programmers.

2: Make it to where it's still somewhat worth owning a stall.

3: Make it to where anyone can sell who is guilded, even if that Guild doesn't own a stall.

4: Make it to where it's convenient for buyers to find items to buy, should be easy part.

Any guild with 50 members can bid on a vendor.

Now, if you mean that guilds should not have to bid and that their should be a central place where everyone can search all guilds then I am pleased to inform you this will never happen. Try reading the devs reasoning for the social decentralized trading we have in Tamriel and you'll see the big Picture and understand your just wasting your time pushing for a central auction house.

    From my experience it is.

There are plenty of vendors which offer a chance for everyone to get involved in it and work their way up to the big ones such as Craglorn or faction capitals. More of these are added with every expansion.

There are normally spots free in most of the major guilds you just have to ask (note I have been in a few major EU PC trade guilds by just asking in zone or other guilds if someone can invite me).

Guilds which can have their members sell in demand items at competitive prices will find they get regular traffic and sales to work their way up. If you're not getting customers ask your members to list tempers or end game sets rather than green recipes.

The issues I constantly see on the forums seem to come from the following.

People anti-guild or not wanting to join one.
They never have to talk to or read/listen to the guild (you can even filter out text/voice chat for guilds).

That they're too lazy to search stores for what they need.
Most items which are in demand will be sold by larger guilds, you pay the premium for not hunting around.

    That there are membership costs.
I am in a Craglorn Trader guild with good custom to sell all my items, I have never donated or paid a fee to be a member.

    It's not how <insert MMO> did it.
    This isn't <insert MMO>

I don't make enough money to be in one.
Just play content you enjoy, sell what you don't need. Blue/Purple recipes, refined materials, excess tempers, unwanted sets.

I still don't quite follow what op is asking for. You can already access the store of the guild you're in via the bank. Is it just the 50 player minimum thing you want changed?

    Nope.

Not interested in an Auction house of any kind, OP. Not even restricted to in-Guild AH's.

This game doesn't need them, and the Guild Traders work just fine. It's even easier if you buy almost exclusively from within your own Guilds as you don't even have to visit a Trader Stall. You just have to find a bank to scroll through what your Guildies are selling.

I'd be much more of a fan of re-tooling the Guild Trader interface to make it easier to look for just a certain specific item and/or the "top sellers" in a Guild rather than any kind of Auction House.

I don't hear much "auctioning" going on in your Guild Auction House. Ebay is a auction house. You are proposing a Global Guild Store.

The only change needed to the existing trading system is to open it up to all players regardless of level, alliance, guild membership or other artificial barrier. Making other changes whilst keeping guild restrictions would serve no purpose at all.

They actually came out in an ESO Live and shut the door on the Global Auction House. April 10, 2015, if I recall correctly.

Yeah, I always found the "auction house" term ridiculous when referring to a global store. Auctions sell to highest bidder. Is someone suggesting bidding?

As for the OP, if you are going to collect all that information in a global store, you might as well let people skip the guild part in the first place. It would actually be simpler because you wouldn't have to sync a global list with individual guild lists.
