Useless tutorials in loading screens are STILL infuriating.

I have posted about this before, and frankly I am staggered that something so incredibly simple is still not fixed.

I just used a boat to travel from Auridon to Grahtwood (sp?) for the first time, and I know very little about the Wood Elf province.

The loading screen pops up and it has a brief sentence about the zone. I have time to read exactly 5 words before the lore text is removed and replaced by the most asinine, useless and repetitive "tutorial" garbage I have seen in any game ever. Something about soul gems that I have known for over a year now.

So instead of reading an interesting bit of information about a new zone I'm about to enter, I get to re-re-re-re-re-re-reread some useless information I never even cared about in the first place.

I usually give people the benefit of the doubt. But how this level of staggering incompetence has persisted for something so incredibly easy to fix is truly beyond me, and now I am legitimately angry.

FIX. THIS. RUBBISH.

For something that is so very common in this game (loading screens) there should be a bit more effort put into it.

Something interactive, like lock picking while you wait...

I am amazed something this simple couldn't be hotfixed in 10 minutes by an intern.

I don't know, it's probably quite a large bug if it causes a zone to require two loading screens rather than one. The game loading the zone's heightmap during the first load, but not any of the assets, for example, could well be something difficult to fix.

I, too, wish there would JUST be lore tidbits on the loading screens. I seldom get to read it either before it switches to useless information easily available in other places.

I've made threads about this too, one when i first found out and the second after they stated in a patch note that this was fixed. Obviously it wasn't...

It will be fixed with DB patch. So for now, technically, it's not fixed, but will be in 10 days.
