Free Skill, CP, and Attribute Resets with Dark Brotherhood Live Release Please

With the Dark Brotherhood update coming to the live servers in a couple weeks, I'm sure many of us would like a free reset of skills, Champion Points, and attributes. I've heard of updates giving skill resets, and with the removal of vet ranks and all, this would be an excellent time to let people reconfigure things.

On the most recent twitch stream they said in chat that respecs would be "super cheap" the first week or so after DB. Best of all options IMO.

Can confirm. They also stated so on the forums somewhere.
I guess that won't lead to any complains like when they force reset everything. Good solution.

Why... a full respect is cheap change... I can grind enough good in a few hours. Why do people insist on free stuff?

I don't get why people are so negative towards this. It takes 5 minutes max to respec a character but then again people will complain regardless. The best thing they can do is make respecs at the shrines cost 0 gold for the first week or two. Everyone's happy.

Best option indeed.

I always hated the forced respecs I had to do several times for eight characters, and I never ever changed anything during them (I did pay two respecs to change stuff when I got a better idea at other times though). It was somewhat annoying in some cases where I had trouble remembering just how I divided all the skill points between fighting and crafting... which morph I took for the less used skills... etc.

So for me, a "free" respec would be a mere annoyance. And just making the normal respecs super-cheap for those who really wanna switch around stuff seems the better option...

A few hours? I'm sorry, I'd much rather spend a few hours doing stuff I enjoy in the game, than grinding gold to pay for a respec that I wouldn't need if they didn't screw around with all the skills.

"A few hours" may not seem like much to someone who can spend 100+ hours a week playing the game, but for people with real lives, a "a few hours" may be a week's worth of play time.

To the people opposed to this, ever heard of print screen? It would take you 5 seconds to print screen your current skill morphs / char and just Alt + Tab to check the opened screenshot and then reselect it.

Are you REALLY that lazy?

Would you rather pay 10-14k (excluding CP so add another 3k to that ) / char just because you are that lazy?

And ya generally know what skills you use, esp. the ones you use the most. You may good up on a few morphs, but fortunately redoing morphs is much much less expensive than redoing skills.

That is some serious game time you have put in! There should be an expert, master or legendary class for players who put in as much as you have.

I'm fine with the "super cheap" option. Will reset most of the characters immediately, and look for feedback on forums for how to set characters. No one is forced to do it, and those who want it can easily get it.

They should offer a free respect scroll per character that is only good for 7 days, just like the cake, one time use only though. When you re-work multiple skill lines, etc. you really should do this.

As for those that say it is cheap, if you have 8 characters with about 250 SP each, it can cost over 20K each (with respect and possible attribute as well), so that is 160,000 gold...

let's see you grind that out in an hour.

Yes, I would absolutely rather pay the $$$$$ than be forced to do this. 10-14k plus 3k ain't no thang.

I wasn't saying that it is cheap now, it was said they're going to be lowering the price for a bit after DB releases. If I remember from when they last did this way back in 2014 it was a few hundred gold per character or so to fully reset skills.

Hopefully we get one or at least the option to do it seeing as how alot of people were upset about not getting a free respec option last patch well probably get one this patch I would be surprised if we don't.

most of us have more than 1 character. 13K gold may not seem like much if you only have 1 vet, but after doing that for all 8 toons it gets expensive

5 minutes x 8 = some peoples whole play period for the day.

But I could have sworn that it was already confirmed we would be getting cheap resets for the first week.

I don't expect people who play 40+ hours a week to understand what it is like to have full time job and 2 small kids.

But I do wish those people would shut up about how 15k gold for multiple characters is cheap and only takes "a few hours" to obtain.

I, for one, am super glad that they are listening to feedback at least and that there will be an option for cheap respecs this time.

Much better than last major patch imo.

That would be 2 screenshots per individual skill line, actives and passive. So 6 shots for class skills, 4 for weapons (assuming you only have skill points in 2), vampire or werewolf if afflicted, fighter's guild, mages, thieves, undaunted, and some more for all the ones you have for crafting. Yeah, way to too many screenshots and way to much going in and out of game.

Best thing to do is develop a way to respec each skill individually, instead of in bulk.
