CP Enlightenment:

Now, nearing the end of the CP existence with the launch of DB, in a few weeks, I was wondering:
Could we have a continuous Enlightenment until then?
I'd like to have at least ONE character maxed out, just for being completely done with the game.
As is, I cannot ever reach the first 100 by then, not to mention 500...

I do not THINK, it would imbalance anything, I could be incorrect, but I for one, would appreciate it.

Thoughts?

CP affects all characters not just one actually. You should have over 100 CP by the time, you get your first character V5. Which is pretty easy in 15 days, even if you start from scratch.

    Ah, my bad.
I thought CP would also stop to exist.
But that still leaves me at the same problem, being a completionist, I will lack the time to complete one character, this due to the fact I am OCD like in 'living' the game, following the whole, it is, in the end, a good story.

Just try not to sweat it. After the transition there won't be anything to "remind" you that you didn't get to VR16.

If you haven't have any v16, it'll be good to get them there. You will get up to 40 CP given to you extra if you are at v16 once the removal happens with DB.

However, don't detract away as to why you're playing the game. If you enjoy your character, get into veteran level, and not worried about how much extra CP you will receive when DB hits, then continue what you're doing.

Just like to say: XP gain is raised significantly with the new DLC.

Do not rush anything, after DB is out leveling as well as gaining CP is going to be much (~ 3,5 times !) easier then before.

    have fun!

Man, that OCD... like when one of my non-crafters gets a skill point in a crafting line, I just want to /camp and DELETE it.

I'm V6, with, and I am not joking, 44 CP... now, this is Per type, ofc.
Does this be 44x3, or... should it be 100x3?

    Merely asking.
    Thank you.

If you have 44 of each type of CP (Warrior, Thief, Mage), then you have 132 total Champion points, so your "Champion Rank" is currently 132.

If your highest character is VR6, you'll also get 15 more CP when DB is released (from the 2.5 CP per V-Rank bonus), for a total Champion Rank of 147 (or 49 points of each type).

This means that even if you get no more xp between now and when DB is released, then you'll be able to wear CP140 gear as soon as the update hits. If you get 3 more CP before then (1 of each type), then you'll have 150, and be able to wear CP150 gear.

CP 150 gear is the same as VR15 gear now, so basically, you'll be jumping from wearing VR6 gear, to being able to wear the equivalent of VR14 or VR15 gear as soon as the update hits.

    I don't understand your point.

    1. CP is not coming to an end and it will become the basis for your level. It's vet ranks that are ending.
    2. CP is account wide. Earn a point on one character and all your characters get a point. No maxing out one without maxing them all out.
    3. As long as you have one character at v16 all your characters will have 160 CP making all that are past level 50 CP 160 as their new level.

While being VR16 will guarantee that you have at least 160 CP after the update, you don't need VR16 before the update to be CP160. You just need to have enough CP beforehand that you'll end up with 160 afterward.

For example, if our VR6 friend here (who currently has 132 CP) can get just 13 more CP before the update, he'll have 145 CP going into the update, and the 15 CP bonus he'll get for being VR6 will bump him to 160. If he hits VR7 in the process, he'd only need to get 11 CP, since he'll get at least 2 more for the extra VR.

The only thing that getting to VR16 before the update will do, is get him 40 bonus CP instead of the 15 he's already getting.

But honestly, given how easy CP is to get (and how much easier it's going to be), trying to grind out 10 more VR levels for an extra 25 CP before the update hits is kinda stupid. Given how much XP he'd need to get in just a few weeks' time, he'd have to do most of it while not enlightened, and it would actually net him less CP in the long run than if he just waited and got that same amount of XP over a longer period of time (since he could use more enlightenment that way).

I don't know.. I think it's better to increase your CP as much as you can during this current game or even max it out. It makes it much better to do so, if you're trying to do trials like Maestrom Arena or tackling the public dungeons, if you don't have a group.
