PVP IS IMPORTANT ZENIMAX!

Ok I know I have complained about Cyrodil multiple times on here but I am fuming at this point. I have around 15k achievement points on the Xbox NA server and have done just about every achievement/thing there is to do in this game and now all I want to do is retire from the long adventuring and strictly PVP (you know that REALLY important aspect of MMO'S). But I can't. I SIMPLY and UTTERLY CAN - NOT! Here is the thing I have super beast internet speeds and ping and am playing with my Xbox hard wired. I tried playing the haederus pvp campaign but if Im in a fight greater than what is classified as a small conflict freaking forget it because I'm about to freeze for 30 seconds until the black eso screen comes up and the fog rolls in telling me I am unable to connect to the server and should make sure I have a valid internet connection. Zenimax, my internet could not be anymore valid. Furthermore I would like to know why this campaign is so populated and how is anyone playing it? I feel like I am the only person who is getting kicked EVERY single time a conflict goes double digits. I look around and I don't see anyone else standing completely still and frozen or disappearing because they are lagging out. Like I can't do anything in this game anymore unless it's pvp or doing a dungeon I've already done hundreds of times. I feel completely and utterly demoralized. They need to either do some heavy fixing or add dueling and some WOW-ish 12v12 capture the flag type of things. This should be doable even for you zenipoo.

I expect the lag, what I do not expect is completely not being able to play the content. Here's how it goes...
    1) see's a big fight
    2) gets close to big fight
    3) waits for opportune moment
    4) critical rushes in
    5) freezes in critical rush animation for 30 sec and gets kicked to eso home screen
    6)Logs back in dead

Tonight was my first night in Haderus (I'm usually in Scourge) and I have say the OP is pretty much on point. I also have beastly internet and a wired Xbox, and I'm experiencing the same issues. AND...After I get booted to the loading screen, it sometimes takes two or three attempts to log back in. And when I DO get back in, I'm at one of the gates, and I've missed an offensive/defensive tick. >(

On a side note- what is up with the indestructible inner postern wall at Blue Road Keep in this campaign? Is this a bug or some kind of exploit? We had at least 6 stone trebs hammering it constantly and the health would decrease by a sliver and then automatically return to full health? It's only on one side though- the other side seems to take damage.

    Like wtf?

It's terrible when players turn on each other for problems in the game and with the games coding . The game master are well aware of the games problems and are working on it even if it doesn't feel like it . Lag in every game I've ever played is a ongoing battle for developers to battle . These people work endlessly to try to find ways to improve performance . They haven't found the magic cure yet but then again who has ?

There are dozens of players that will tell you they know the solution or they will say the game people don't care . It's hysteria brought on from understandable frustration . Try not to be one that loses touch . It's not popular to say these things and you'll get plenty of angry mob support , but it doesn't change the truth on the matter . It's rediculous for people to think a business would purposely sabotage itself or not try to make improvements .

Break away from the negative heard , write tickets and share technical info that's beneficial when asked if you really want to be apart of the solution .

Its been this way for two years dude, and if they really cared they wouldn't be working on releasing two DLC's within two months of each other and instead correct the existing issues before moving forward. Just adding more content isn't going to make more people come to the game nor make people stay, if anything, it's just going to create more problems to stack with the one's we already experience.

To clear things up, it doesn't matter how good your internet connection is. This is an issue with data going to and from the server and the speeds the servers resolve it at.

This has been an issue for MMO games which go for large fights for years, the only way to fix it is buying very expensive hardware and finding ways to code it so the client/server have to make and confirm less requests.

Neither of those options is something ZOS can just do. EVE Online has been running for over ten years (turned 13 this year) and they have spent much of that time trying to find ways to support their thousand player fleet fights without lag.

@Benzaiten You can repair walls while they are not below 95%. That means there is people waiting for the wall to get shot while they spam the repair button. The only way to get past that is to sync all trebs and shoot the wall at the same time, putting it below 95% instantly.

Ever hear the slogan "The show must go on." ? It's very true or the show dies . I use to work in entertainment a long time ago and I can't count how many technical problems plagued venues but if we stopped the tour to address them all , there would be angry ticket holder chanting boo ! So we duct taped poles , hot soldered lighting rigs and try to buy new power distro along the road . If we didn't , the fans would leave , the artist would lose even more credibility . I don't work in the game industry but I understand entertainment . Be patient , it may never be fixed to your liking . But when the shows gone it will all be missed greatly . The good and the bad .

I want to see these battles people get in that utterly locks down the game for you. I have never seen one this big or so it seems. I tend to get in many large battles it only seems to have some lag when there is a 3 faction zerg of 50+(so it seems) all fighting for 1 keep. Even then its just lag but not endless load screen or crashes just slight lag for me. Though generally I play solo and assist the zerg via ultimates and heals and aoes (depending on the char I play.)

I get there is some lag but I don't see what everyone else does in pvp so I guess I am lucky :)

Hmm, I noticed this too. I actually rolled a new toon on a different faction, because I was impressed by this faction's tactics in Scourge. I don't like having different faction toons in the same campaign, so I put my new lowbie in Haderus. GG, what a difference! Instead of trying to get their home keeps/resources back, people seem content to be farmed by an enemy faction at a bridge or a resource. Sometimes for an hour or more straight.

It was beyond frustrating. I might have to find a new home for my lowbie, lol.
