    It would be very easy to spread PvP out in Cyrodiil....All you have to do is target the Keep Attackers and Defenders..and what I mean is focusing on trying to get Small Mans to go fight somewhere else doesn't work.

    For Example...

    Lets say if you were to make one of the Towns Capturable in Cyrodiil...And say it added to the score...Very few people would ever really focus on taking this town...Because who cares...

    However if capturing a Town opened up Quests in that town that rewarded Special Siege Weapons or upgrades for Keeps..now that's a whole other ballgame..That makes that keep valuable to those people who focus on taking keeps and defending them. They would spend time taking those keeps and doing those quests...esp in their off time when their guilds aren't running.

    This in turn would draw the solo players and small mans to this area because this would be an ample source of Kills.

    you could apply this same principle to IC as well...Add Special Siege and or Defensive Related rewarded for controlling a District and doing Quests there....This would pull people into IC...which would reduce lag on the main map by spreading the Action Out.

    There is no way to relate IC to general cyrodiil bc zos in their ignorance chose to make it a DLC not everyone has access to.
    Now they can´t have something people can´t access have influence on general cyrodiil scoring.
    They simply failed the design on this one and have no way of fixing it without giving everyone access to their first DLC.

    As a result all these well meant IC changes will lead to IC buff campaigns where 1 faction holds all districts to get maximum stones and the whole pvp happening there will be gankers farming pve players.
    If that´s your idea of what smallscale and solo players should do in your game it explains the state of cyrodiil quite well sir @ZOS_BrianWheeler

    Last but not least you´re talking about how working on daoc influnced your map design. This is where i was just asking myself: "Is he joking or was he asleep the whole time he worked at mythic?"
    The one thing daoc achieved with new frontiers to some extend is create a map that promoted three faction fights (and promote fights of the two weaker factions on the leading one). These are incredibly fun. That´s EXACTLY what your giant cyrodiil donut of mediocrity fails to achieve. Your map design discourages three faction fights in every possible way and only lets them happen when one faction is effectively pushed back to their gates.
    Why is that? Because you choose to disconnect upper imperial city from the mainland (it would be an amazingly well designed pvp map if IC was useable as a capturable shortcut and not a giant hole in your map).
    Not connecting IC to cyrodiil was and is the biggest blunder in eso´s pvp development and whoever is to blame - management/designteam/pvpteam (can´t really imagine that) - made a horrible decision.

    This interview was quite a disappointment from my pov as it illustrates how disconnected the pvp development is from what most players i talk to ingame or on the forums actually deem fun in cyrodiil.

    I know they nerfed the PVE portion of the Imperial City to benefit small groups, but I feel as if they're going in the wrong direction. For example, re-balancing sweeper bosses to be done by a 4-man group instead of a 12-man (ignore the fact some are already soloable, and most all of them can be done with a group of two) will just mean that 12-man groups will blow past the sweepers, killing them in a heartbeat, and not giving the 4-man group the chance to jump them while they're distracted. This takes away one advanage the 4-man group had over the larger group.

    and of course long term we will be adding battlegrounds.

    Define "long term." I don't know if the PvP has a "long term" waiting period to still be relevant enough for battlegrounds to capture that playerbase. It has to be Q2 2017 at the latest.

    When they realize they've exhausted every excuse on Cyrodiil performance they will hit us with arena/battleground DLC.

    I'm just curious why in the world it is taking them so long to implement dueling when every other game under the sun with PVP has had it. I mean we're 2 years in...do they have some super plans that take massive brainstorming that differs from the right click, select duel, and the other side clicks accept? Perhaps they feel they need to build a coliseum?

    I'd really like to have some battlegrounds as in the past I've had some good times playing them in other games. Leveling up in Warhammer through BGs rocked and WoW had some cool ones as well. The only thing that I fear is them having a negative impact on large scale Cyrodiil player numbers as it seemed to do in WAR. Then again..it could help with the lag..who knows

    When they first said Camps were coming back with a limited range and a Rez cool down I was a bit wary, but it seemed ok. After spending some time with them I think the cool down is just too short, it should be 10 or 15 minutes. That way camps are more like second chance mechanic instead of something that can draw fights out forever.

      what about make it hard? if you wanna pvp, if you wanna play cyrodiil, you must have Imperial city dlc. why should everyone play crippled content because someone cant buy any dlcs? Make imperial city as "pvp dlc overal" and future arenas and batllegrounds will be for free for Imperial city dlc owners
