So frustrating, I did pledge today on v1 and got the v1 version which I wanted to deconstruct and accidently chose the Heavy one which I bought this weekend. 200k ap gone and no heavy helm

i partially feel ur pain... just recently i meant to decon a gold lvl 16 staff but instead deconed my v16 gold staff ... lots of mats down the drain on that one ... looking forward to the item locking when DB goes live

Enter a support ticket. In some instances, they can restore lost items. I am not sure your instance qualifies, but it is worth asking.

Yea I'll try the support ticket thanks for info, also I wonder why there's no locking items like in other games to prevent this? Glad it's coming but to late for me lol

item locking is coming in the next dlc coming out on the 31st of this month

I once absentmindedly destroyed a full stack of blue improvement matts (embroidery I think) by accident when I meant to split them. I submitted a ticket, next day received the obligatory 'we are looking into this matter' reply. few days later got second reply that my items would be returned to me. A guildie of mine also reported doing the same thing you did. He submitted a ticket and got his helm back.. So go ahead and submit a ticket, hopefully this policy of returning these items is still in effect.

Why would it be useless? If anything, having the extra spell and physical resistance might come in handy since you can't block anymore

Man that sucks sorry man, I've done that three times on accident. Once to my gold ravager chest, and on two monster shoulders. Man I was ticked. I had been meaning to log onto my mule to grab them out of the bank so I didn't accidently decon them. When I tried the support ticket they said, sorry you deconned them, sucks to be you! Sigh.

I did something similar with my Dreugh King set a while back as well, deconning the wrong thing with a miss-click. Its too easy to do sometimes, and really frustrating when its a high value item. It really is about time they add this, simply because farming items is too much trouble, and its too easy to miss the forest for the trees when you're deconstructing heaps of junk.

You need to send a specific ticket indicated the item you accidentally destroyed, the server, which character, and the approximate date. If you can provide those specific details, ZoS can check their backlogs and send you the exact item (as opposed to a replacement).

Not exactly the same, but I got an alt up to max crafting rank the other day, so I was going through my collection of mercenary motifs and learning them on that character to up my chance for laurels. Click, click, click, oh ****, that last one was an outlaw motif I had put aside for my main crafter. *sigh*

Not quite a Bloodspawn helm but I feel your pain.

Try to be as specific as possible in the ticket. Date time character name item. I have contacted CS several times about doing stupid things like this and after the first when I started getting real specific with the info I always got my stuff back. Good luck.

You wish. (Bigger) Half of their Support seem to firmly believe they're unable/not allowed to restore deconstructed items(while our experience with the few sane people in there tells us otherwise) for whatever reason.

Yeah I sent a ticket about something like this they sent a reply saying the system is working as intended and I said I never said it wasn't finally they responded and said they don't restore items.
