Huh? I was under the impression that in scaled zones, nodes will also scale to whatever level a player has in passives for clothing, woodworking, metalworking and so on.
Has this changed?

In DB half of the time you will get nodes that scale to your crafting level, the other half of the time it will scale to your combat level. So a cr160 with no crafts leveled will get ruby nodes half the time.
I think we will see mats for level 1-50 gear go up for the exact reason you mention: no one needs to clear out their bags so less supply means higher prices. 1-50 mats will still be useful for leveling new characters and competing in BWB.
I think the price of post 50 mats, not including void* and ruby* mats, will crash. The way ZOS is removing VR means that people will need much fewer of these mats for their characters (for example, I will never need them again at all).
I think void* and ruby* mats will largely stay the same if not go up a little bit from where they are today since they are still relevant for writs and at endgame.

That's stupid.
I should be able to wield a bow, then, that, half the time, fires at the combat level I have in bows (6), and the other half of the time it fires at VR16, right?
I spent a lot of time earning points to put into crafting passives, so this move by Zeni certainly cheapens the effort.
