Promoting, marketing and advertising of ESO going forward.

Back when the announcement was made for the "million reasons to play" competition, and the fairly successful 'free weekend', many of us here were concerned when it came to various platforms and regions not being eligible. We were told by @ZOS_GinaBruno that there would be future plans for marketing and advertising, that ZOS would work with different platforms when it comes to this marketing to promote the game further into its life span.

Now, being a console player from the EU, I am concerned for the games health moving forward. I would really like to know of any planned promotions or campaigns that may be occurring to help drive the games populations and popularity.

I love this game, I feel many of its greatest qualities are not being noticed by the fickle console games market. Thoughts anyone??

From what I understand the play for free weekend did a lot to entice people in.

I know several old gamer friends who tried it and came out saying it was fantastic and they would either buy it then or in future.

Might be worth them running this promotion again soon.

You know, that may actually be the promotion I meant to refer to. If I remember correctly that was a PC only promotion, possibly XBOX also. Being a PS4 player that was in fact why I was so concerned. It seems that on my platform there hasn't really been any attempts to bring on new players.

Also, does ZOS do any twitch promotions? I have never noticed any, though I have heard in the past of it occurring but by the time I would have heard they would be long over. This is hardly an effective form of promotion if it's not marketed effectively.

What do people think would be some of the most effective means of marketing? Besides of course the obvious free weekends. And does anyone have any ideas on how best to perhaps entice some former players back into ESO, seeing as how a free weekend is never going to be great promotion to players that already own the game.

Another regular post of concern for the games health.

Zos really isn't going to discuss much, if anything at all, of future marketing plans. Much in marketing has to do with timing. As such the timing is not correct to discuss their next move.

I really only mention it as Gina did say way back that they intend to work with their "console partners" in carrying out some level of promotion. I would just be very curios as to what, if any, the plans may entail. And to me, with the release of DB it feels like the timing couldn't be any better. We will finally have all of the known and loved factions back in Tamriel. I mean that in itself is surely "marketable".
