DK DPS crafted armor solo friendly

Hi,

I need some advise for a crafted heavy armor set good for playing solo DPS as Dragon Knight. I have access to all crafting stations and 8 traits.

I use One-handed and Shiled or Twohanded and the occasional bow to poke some mobs in the eye.

Any particular reason you want Heavy Armour? The DPS armour of choice is usually Medium for the bonuses it gives.

Hundings Rage appears to be the popular choice.

I thought heavy armor was the preferred armor class for a dragon knight? Also gives better protection for solo play for more surviabilty? Or is heavy armor more for tanks and medium for solo DPS DK?

Yes heavy armour is more for tanks. Light for magicka dps and medium for stamina dps. For the passive bonuses you need 5 pieces of whatever armour weight you're using so assuming you're stamina dps you could use 5 medium and 2 heavy for a bit more armour. If you've unlocked the undaunted passive you'll want 1 heavy and 1 light

Then I'll level heavy armor and One-handed and Shield up to 50 for tanking, then I'll switch over to Medium armor and twohanded for exploration, casual gaming and DPS.

Any particular set of armor you could advice for tanking and for DPS?

I would suppose different sets are good for different tasks. Hundings Rage gives a lot of crit dmg, I guess that won't do much good while playing tank.

Hist Bark and Armor Master are both common tanking sets. Whitestrakes as well, sometimes.

Hundings Rage and Night Mother are common stamina DPS sets.

I use Armor Master and Kagrenac's Hope on my tank, but I leveled all the way to V16 with medium armor DPS gear.

5 pc hundings, 3/4 piece Night Mother's is probably the way to go while leveling and for DPS when you are starting out.

You should go medium armor especially for solo. Nothing out side of vMA is really challenging for solo play anymore. The crit, damage and regen passives for medium armor will increase dps and sustain and at the same time increase movement speed. Maybe toss on one piece light and heavy with training to level them on the side. The above recommend Hunding's Rage and Night mother will do great or you can use Ashen if you want a lot of health over a little crit for survivability.
I didn't choose tank life, tank life chose me.
