mag nb pvp (no detonation gank build)

id like to discuss some gear setups for mag nb in pvp. what are you using that is effective. Im not interested in the VD Det gank build either.

No VD is easy to get away with and still be competitive. Without Proxy you're going to have a very difficult time killing anyone with even a small bit of skill. Mageblade just doesn't have enough burst without Proxy.

5x Julianos
2x Torug
1x Kena
3x Willpower Jewelry

Or replace the 2x Torug/1x Kena with 3-4x Magnus/Mara.

There's many different setups you can use. This is just one variation that is easy to obtain. Like I said though, without Proxy good luck.

If you intend to play duel wield and restoration staff you can try...

5 x Kagrenac's Hope
4 x Seducer
3 x Willpower

5 x Kagrenac's Hope
4 x Magnus or Eye's of Mara
3 x WIllpower

5 x Kagrenac's Hope
5 x Cleaver Alchemist
3 x Willpower

The top set will give you more sustain moving down to the list to get more burst damage.

The last set you need to set it up with 3 x Kagrenac's armour on your front bar with 2 x Kagrenac's swords. The rest Cleaver Alchemist armour and resto staff. Drink a potion on your resto bar for 15 seconds of burst.

Those sets work well for me, it just depends on how much sustain vs burst you require.

I would use destro/resto setup, dual wield setups are crappy if there not high damage proxy builds.

I run 2 (Wayrest Sewers set, forgot the name) for the healing if you are pressured never break the beam.
5 Kagrenacs
Maelstrom Staves
This is a no cloak nb and has great heals with Healingward, Funnel Health, and Rapid Regen. For more heals you could get refreshing path.

I find it to be a great set for a MagBlade since it helps with cloaking, allows me to run a Destro Staff setup besides the usual DW+Resto and gives me some incredible Regen (1.9k) while still retaining enough Spell Damage (2.5k) to kill

Lich set, 4 Magnus and 3 willpower with Mage or apprentice stone. I've found this works good. The damage isn't the greatest but when db hits live you could use spell damage enchants on your weapon. Stats wise your looking at 44k max magicka, 4K+ recovery(with lich proc and pot) and spell damage will be 3k+. That's with a high elf, Mage stone, tri stat food and all spell damage jewellery enchants.

3k+ spell dmg with magnus and wilpower only?

3k with spell damage enchant proc. Probably wouldn't use this setup if you plan on using poisons though.
