Magic builds using vigor?

Not all magicka builds have access to a magicka based self heal. Plus, even the most biased Magicka builds still have a decent Stamina pool, and you can reduce the cost of using Vigor with CP. Its a very effective self heal for all the classes barring Templar (who have breath of life/Honor the dead).

vigor is scaled of of stamina. it couldnt possibly be healing you for more than 400per tick in cyrodil, and it doesnt tick that many times

Not good for magicka users at all. It generally takes High DPS stamina builds to make the most out of it. Without a high weapon damage+Stamina or weapon critical chance+ critical damage multiplier, you won't get good numbers with it. Magicka builds don't generally have either of those. However on the other hand, stamina builds with those will get very high heals with it.

Wait...people are doing this? And thinking it is effective? Combat Prayer or blessing of Restoration would be far more effective if the player doesn't like Healing ward for some reason.

I might slot vigor in PvP on my magplsr to confuse my opponent allowing me to kill them while they are scratching their head.

Are you sure you aren't seeing stam templars and sorcs using it?

Same way stam builds slot Prox Det as a scare tactic.

@GreenSoup2HoT It does work somewhat for magicka builds or hybrids inclined heavily towards magicka but is no where as useful as other sets. It's use is very limited.

yes people are doing this because they dont want to run a resto staff

I was looking at the numbers myself and couldnt understnd how it could be so effective on my Magicka templar. Even on my V7 Mageplar, it heals for 4134 over 5 seconds, and Honor the Dead only pulls 6219 insta-heal. So the 800-odd tick is actually quite effective. Not as effective as HtD, but its a close second, and for Magicka builds without an effective self-heal its better than none at all.

destruction staff. using vigor. also last patch notes there was a fix where staff wouldnt go through your legs when using vigor

Lol I love it when I run into them. I treat vigor on a mag build like cloak, if I see it I'll pretend I cant see them anymore as I know they pose no threat lol. Just sheathe and walk away the instant i see it.

destruction staff. using vigor. also last patch notes there was a fix where staff wouldnt go through your legs when using vigor

I suppose if you point a bunch of CP into Blessed and Quick Recovery it could be more useful than not.
