Epic battle for Dragonclaw NA/Trueflame

This is to commemorate a truly epic battle for Dragonclaw Sunday night. It began as a simple defense. BoD responded just as EP was about to breach the inner keep. We threw off the invaders, but had barely repaired the outer breach when the EP siege started on a different wall. We repulsed this attack, only to have another begin. Over the course of almost two hours, EP knocked down the walls, only to be pushed back. At one point both posterns and the front door of inner were down, but the defense drove EP back. Most of the DC and EP server populations seemed to be there, the numbers were huge. In the end, EP numbers were too great, DC lost control of the courtyard, and with no place for forward camps, it was only a matter of time before the keep flipped red. Great effort from both sides. It was a bigger battle and more fun than many emp keep takes. Pretty ironic, considering how hard EP fought for a keep that is a DC home keep. And it was an AP smorgasbord

✭It was a good battle. HoD had managed to get to DC long before the inner was breached. It was a very long battle and people were running out of siege to defend. Some of the DC were still south as AD kept attacking Glade and Ales which were successfully defended. If we had those players, the battle likely would have had a different outcome.
However, if DC is considered to be a EP home keep, which it is not, then we now claim Chal and Arrius. Turn about is fair play.

Only the Arrius Lumbermill belongs to DC. If we ever made it up those stairs and captured the keep, we wouldn't know what to do with it.

✭All "Forts" are DC, "Keeps" are EP, and "Castles" are AD. With that in mind you can look at the map again.
DC is a fort and therefore DC real estate.0 -

NACtron✭✭✭✭✭We were originally pushing towards Aleswell for the emp dethrone when dragon got flagged. We pulled off our push thinking we could go and clean up Dragon real quick (lol) When we got there the DC were already inside and had just finished flipping the keep. Sadly we could not wipe them and they drove us out of the keep. We quickly reset siege on the outer front door and pushed back into the Dragonclaw courtyard. After heavy resistance we pulled off the inner front door and went to the lumber side postern for seige. We brought the inner down and tried to push in but we got wiped by emp siege and some well timed counter charges from DC. We were forced to set up a FC at the lumbermill and RE siege from the outside. What followed was a hour and a half stalemate between our forces on the lumber mill side and the DC inside. Both sides tried their best to push out and wipe the other countless times but to no avail. It was only after we brought down three breaches on the outer and two breaches on the inner that we managed to overwhelm the DC defenders and their Seige happy Emperor. It was an amazing fight and both sides should feel honored for how well they did. That was one of the most epic fights I have had in a long time
Big shout out to Saramis's Raid. (Not sure of the guild name if someone wants to tell me) They hit my raid hard many times throughout that fight and felt we were quite evenly matched Very fun and competitive fight.
BTW Speaking on Behalf of Pact Militia we view Dragonclaw as an EP home keep and we treat it as such. Arrius and Chalman are also still EP home keeps. As a sign of goodwill you can have Arrius Lumbermill if you wish.Edited by NACtron on May 9, 2016 10:38PMPact Militia GM
