Switching characters using PC 64-bit client leads to infinite load screen since 2016-03-14 patch

I just tried the newest patch to run through my characters to get hireling mail and do horseriding training. I had no problem getting into an initial character. When I would logout to the character selection screen and then log into the next character, I would get an infinite loading screen. I did Alt-F4 and then opened the game again -- same thing. After experiencing this 3 times, I opened the 32 bit client. That had no problem whatsoever.

3/10 login + logout attepmts lead to an infinite loading screen.
The background is black and in the foreground I can see the popup box

After this nothing happens until I press ALT+F4 and login again.
it seems to happen as I try to login too fast after I've logged out.
"Too fast" = some seconds. I need to wait 10 seconds minimum.0 -

✭✭✭Yeah, I still have this problem. Daily, I go through 6 characters first thing. I never make it to the 6th without having to Alt-F4 at least once.0
