Minimising in-game chat window and TOM

Hello. Is there anyway to keep the chat window minimised or disabled? The same applies to the TOM chat add-on. Even once they have both been minimised, they have a habit of opening themselves when someone chats.

Ideally, I'd like to use TOM as the primary chat/messenger and disable or remove the basic chat window. Please help

You can resize it and move it off screen can't you?

I made my chat window go away by unchecking all the channels so it never popped up on the screen unless I hit the slash or enter key. Addons would have a different way of handling this, but it probably would be the same way.

There is a little triangle I believe lower left of chat window, clicking it minimizes it to the left I believe.

@Emily - yep I do use that but everytime someone talks it automatically opens the window again.

@Nestor - top idea! Will give that a try (I should have thought of that myself lol. D'oh!
