I turned on water reflections in my graphics settings. It looks beautiful. Absolutely stunning.

BUT!

Objects close to me reflect in water far from me. Very odd looking on occasion.

Consoles don't have this option. Sometimes I get jealous of people who can afford these things but I would say your lucky.

I have a different complaint about water reflection...somehow turning it on even on minimum quality gives me instant -15 fps even in a desert o_O

Makes sense. The surface of the water increases dramatically when it evaporates in the hot desert climate, which in turn means the graphics engine now has to work much harder to reflect everything off all those tiny water molecules as they rise in the atmosphere.

Wow. I'm sorry to hear about the lack of graphic options and frame rate hits. I lost a few frames to the reflections, but they're just so pretty I couldn't resist. Wonder why it affects you in the desert?

I admit, I don't PVP much. I've heard it takes a huge performance hit. I suppose managing all those client connections in one place is a bit daunting for the server equipment.

Maybe the extra function is still trying to run in the background, like the game is preparing itself 'just in case' there's water, but there's nothing to be rendered yet the performance loss is still there?

I have no idea how game engines work.

I wonder how much of the lag on Xbox one is due to the memory *** that is windows 10 on a console. -_- graphics options would be nice too..but we dont even have text chat yet soo...I guess I'll wait and see what ZOS decides to prioritize after the DB update as far as console settings go. Seems like a reasonable complaint OP.
