Question about removing VR, am i going to get jipped?

I've done alot of research on the upcoming removal of veteran ranks, and I have begun to become confused, especially with my main character. Because he is only veteran rank 3, but at like 120 in champion points.... So my question is, am i going to lose a *** of my cp and turned into a cp 30, or am i going to get to keep my champion points and be at like 120... I didn't think it an issue til I realized that there is a HUGE difference in where my character is at in respect to both systems...

You will be rank 12.

You will keep your 120 CP.
Your vet 3 gear will become CP30 gear.

If that is your highest Vet rank alt.
All your characters will be 120cp regardless

well, then that is nice to hear, but also creates in own issues, because now, if i am at rank 12, all of the content from 3-12 that i haven't done yet, is it now going to be grey in the tracker and become pointless?

Not exactly pointless. You'l still get some XP, as well as gold and item rewards, skill points for faction main quest, and achievements if they matter to you.

But yeah, the XP reward will be terrible, which means even less people will run Cadwell's, which means those who want to run it will have even less people to run public dungeons etc. with.

I've been trying to download the pts to do my own tests just so everyone knows, but for some god awful reason the pts isn't downloading right, it's been 3 days and it hasn't even gotten above 28%...

You'll have 120cp definite plus (this is my understanding of the patch notes) an extra 2.5 points per vet rank so 2.5 x 3 = 7.5

Because, post DB, you're CP rank will be equal to or greater than your current equivalent veteran rank (120cp = vet rank 12) you don't get any extra to 'catch up'. Example being someone as vet 10 with 0 CP (max level before CP came in) they will automatically be given enough CP to be equivalent to their veteran rank. (given 100cp so they stay vet 10 equivalent)

You will keep any champion points you already have.

And you will recieve about 2.5 CP per rank for the highest character on your account on top of that (so about 7.5 for a V3).

If you were at a higher level than what you would need to equip your gear (for example a player that got to V14 before the Champion System came out and didn't play since), you would be awarded enough CP to enable you to wear that gear.

You will not lose anything. You will actually gain in your case the equivalent of 9 vet ranks.

They will be rebalancing all of those silver and gold zones. You should be able to quest there just fine.

ok cool thanks a bunch for all the info everyone, i didn't think anything about it til last night when i was questing in wrothgar and looked at the difference... it looks like the only thing i'll really need to do once it hits is craft gear respective to my level

All vet content should be level 50 content.
All that silver and gold stuff shoudl be revised to level 50.
You shouldnt be able to outlevel anything as you will be at the same level as everything.

The whole point was to open all 50+ content to everyone instantly as soon as you hit 50.
Rather than gate content based on Vet rank.
All zones are being rescaled to suit this.

Also, as i understand it you will gain att pts for levels thru v16 so thats like 13 atts right away.

For skills you will either gain 9 for 3-12 (and then gain them at 1sp at 130 140 150 160) or get them all right away.

The reason then to do caldwell IF YOU CHOOSE TO would be for thenfun of the quests, thenskill pts locked in somemof them and the xp for completions.

That and "Welshing" on a bet are two that a lot of people don't even know the origin of.
