Immershunz break: mandatory classification for any and all successful community driven changes

Really ZOS? 4E Nord 'Dragonborn' armor in 2E Tamriel? I can even buy ancient Nord armor or the odd Dragon Priest mask turning up... but loads of people running around in the iconic 4E Nord armor? Why not throw in a few Alduin and Dagoth Ur polymorphs for 1000 crowns while you're at it. I'm sure they'll sell like hotcakes.

I have no problem with it. There's nothing that says that armor style in 4e couldn't also exist in 2e, which is a far cry from a polymorph of a specific individual.

It's not "Dragonborn" armor. Description says:

"Tales have come down to us from the legendary time of the Dragons, when it was said that some Nords were born with actual Dragon blood in their veins, and were called something like Kyne's Doves, or Dove-Kin. Now you can wear the look of these legendary Dragon Warriors, horned helm and all!"

Dunno what the Oblivion a Dove-kin is, but we got his armor

Yeah, this point occurred to me also. You see, its possible, always possible to desperately retcon your franchise's lore to enable a quick nostalgia-fuelled cash-grab. The Star Wars prequels amply demonstrated this. But it doesn't mean that this is actually a good idea or particularly convincing. All we end up with is an ancient Tamriel which generally looks like its been carbon-copied from the later games (because that's what sells and makes the shareholders content).

The Alduin comment was hyperbole on my part, my actual problem is the painful transparency of the cash-grab. However, it is indeed possible to even stuff an Alduin polymorph in the Crown store by creating a near-identical model and marketing it as 'Aspect of Alduin' or 'Dragon Elite' or some such thing. You can write a little blurb about it for the fanboys and sell it for 1000-1500 Crowns. They feel like they have Alduin (because effectively they have) and the money rolls in. And I have to look at a dozen Alduins standing around in Wayrest. But like I say, hyperbole.

I just fail to see the problem. And everything in the crown store is a cash grab, that's the entire point of it. It still elevates the enjoyment of the game for many other people, so it's not worthless.

I spent the money on the Dragon Warrior costume thinking it would look cool. I didn't preview it in the crown store before I bought it, but I should have... It makes my Nord Dragonknight look like a Viking-Teletubby. He literally looks like he's 50 to 60 pounds heavier around the waist when he's wearing it. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT. Caveat Emptor.

It's just cheap af iron armor, commonplace in every era. The Dragonborn wasn't exactly a fashionista.
