Some Reasons for 2nd account

I have a 2nd account, and find both in how I am using it now and in looking at what is coming in DB, I see several advantages, some of which may save RL $$. There are caveats tho. So for the price of a single copy of ESO, you get:

Limited Mule - it's a hassle, but you can mail items to the other account. It doesn't work for bound items tho
More bank space - Again, accessible only thru mail, and perhaps less important with craft bags coming. but helpful
Replaces Banker & Merchant Assistant. Just stop where ever you are and mail stuff to an alt to sell or deposit. Great while grinding or deep in a quest.
Join 5 more trading guilds. Nice for shopping as well as selling.
Char Slots - OK, the issue is the difference (or loss) of CP. But for trying out new builds or chars, it is a lot of fun.
Level up crafting and log in for extra hireling stuff
As mentioned in an earlier thread, experience CP leveling 1-160 again

Or to zone into a group dungeon with a lvl 10 form one account as group leader, while the v16 from the other account wrecks the place.

Just doesn't work if all char's on my 2nd account are all v1 already :<

Your comment is so funny because about a week ago a player in a guild recommended I do this very thing. I was frustrated with trying to get a group together for skill points, and they suggested this as an alternative.

You will soon be able to buy another slot for that lvl 10 scrub to be your zone setter.

As a roleplayer I love my 2nd account as a place to roll "redshirts" that need to die during the course of a story. The only thing I DON'T like about it is the darned lack of dyes when compared with my main account.

I am considering a second account - just to have characters, which are doing the game in a vanilla way. I would subscribe though to have access to the crafting bag. Basically have one account for the bling and the other for playing as intended. But I have to decide about it before end of may, because my favorite costumes will be taken from the crown store.

Couldn't you do the dyeing on your first account and then mail the stuff to your second account after it is done? Or is the color lost when mailed to some other account?- Ah well, it is bound - sorry, I just realized that.

I originally got the 2nd account so I could play with a friend who was new to the game, and didn't have everything - CP, Imperial edition, add-ons, etc. That way I could experience it with him and see the world as he did.

And a list of do the downsides:

Lose of all CP
Lose of all CS purchases and Crowns
Need to pointlessly level alt if s/he is simply going to be a farming alt or mule
Need to mail between accounts; logging on and off to do basic stuff

We just need more character slots for our accounts; the four additional we can buy in DB is a good start but it needs to be expanded on.
