What exactly will happen to vet ranks?

Hello there.

I know that with the DB update they are supposedly removing all vet ranks, right?

If this is true, what exactly does this mean for my current Vet rank 2 character? He is my main, and I'm in no particular hurry to level him (I play this game quite casually). But is it even worth it to level any further?

I'm just curious as to what is going to happen (a) to people who are already "max" vet level and (b) to people like me who are in the vet ranks, but not yet maxed.

You will get a certain number of CPs for each vet rank you have. I forget how many exactly. I say it's still worth leveling up if you're not maxed on CPs yet

It should make very little difference to someone playing casually. All of your VR2 gear will convert to "20 Champion Points" gear. So it is likely a good idea to keep playing so you can earn more Champion Points as those are replacing Veteran Ranks. The more Champion Points you have, the better gear and items you can use when Dark Brotherhood comes out. But if you are playing casually, it is unlikely that VR2 versus VR5 or "Champion Point 20" versus "Champion Point 50" gear is a deciding factor. If you are having fun playing, keep playing. If you are not having fun playing, stop playing. You are not going to "lose" anything by continuing to play.

Keep levelling. Just play casually as you always do and it wont make too much of a difference. You get 10 free CP per vet rank anyway. Unless you are already above 160 CP in which case you can bench this toon cos it will be max level the moment DB hits.

So it will mean the following,

1) leveling one character to the Cp160 mark to be able to use the highest and best end game gear.
2) any secondary characters will automatically get to use the end game gear when they reach level 50
3) as a casual player you will now not have to grind each character through 16 veteran levels so that they can have the best end game gear.

You will benefit hugely by veteran levels being removed
