The change coming to the lightning form morph (hurricane, I believe is the new name) sounds cool. But that change is defensive/aoe related. Seems like it's the only real stamina "change," for sorcs, coming in DB. Maybe next patch StamSorc will get some love.

I have gotten some advice from my fellow guildies that have stam sorcs, and they either use rapid strikes with medium weaves(bound armaments) or WB. I was thinking of using rapid strikes since it's instant cast.

Sorcs should stay away from Stam.

Do you know what us Stam sorc users have been saying for the last ... Forever?? Maybe Stam sorcs will get a buff next patch.

May be this bug will get fixed next patch... Maybe that, next patch.

It's time to realise that we aren't ever going to get heard. They know what the community wants and they persistently and very purposefully ignore that. Good for them. What power do we have in such matters?

I hope this changes your view on that statement. Also search @alcast on YouTube and look at all the dreadful sets coming to the new dlc.

A major problem players have with Stam sorc is that is functions a lot more like a straight "warrior" class and less like a "battle Mage" then I think most people expect/want.

Without any reliable spamable class skills you'll find you essentially only use weapon skills with a few sorc abilities as buffs (such as streak and/or crit surge, possibly bound armaments) and mobility. Many of the most "class defining" things are not really used as there is little to no buffs stamina imparts on them such as pets, overload, or hurling lightning through many of our other spell lines. Some of the abilities that CAN be useful in theory such as dark exchange does not pan out really well in actual gameplay as a heal/recover that has that long of a cast time for sure gains it gives just simply is not too useful outside of some small niche situations. Therefore with the exception of occasionally have small bits of lightning on your hands you only really use skills like WB or flurry for damage.

Therefore while some players can absolutely wreck people with Stam sorc many people's main complaint is it does not feel much different then what any other Stam class is capable of doing or better as they DO have class skills that use stamina or more class Passives that aid them as a stamina class.

However I certainly plan on giving it a go come DB and can only encourage you to give it a shot if interested because at the absolute worst you will not have to ponder "what could have been".
