Doing this while out already picking up surveys seems to be triggering an auto response for suspension. What ever system ZoS has in place does not reconize that these are new surveys and not the same one that was just used. ZoS needs to look into this ASAP and fix this problem.

Are they lifting suspension on the people they wrongfully put them on as well?

I'm genuinely curious, not trying to flame or troll or anything, but why would you do this? If the surveys are by region, then the results should be whatever spawns in that region, so what character you do the survey on shouldn't matter, should it?

Again I stress, I genuinely don't know the answer and am curious.

It's easier when one character is out there already than having to do the same surveys on 2 or more characters. I have 3 crafters all 10/10, when they get a map they put it in the bank or on a mule. Once I start getting too many duplicates I do them all on the same day, at the same time. The last time I had about 22 Craglorn surveys for wood, ore, and cloth.

I don't have the mobile banker myself, I have to go back to town to pick up my extras or swap alts to get them.

Obviously, I'm not talking about the exploit. I'm talking about what legitimate reason anyone would have for doing it.

That is a fair question. I have to explain how i play a bit first though so bare with me. I have 8 vr16(http://i.imgur.com/7lhvo5a.png) and each character has max professions, and i do all 6 writs on everyone of them daily. I always use my Banker Hireling to store all my survey maps then log to one character who has lots of speed increase and the CP passive to pick up nodes faster. When i get to a survey location that i know i have a double of in my bank i loot the current ones on the ground step away then pull that survey out of my banker hireling and loot it again. Also doing it this way saves me so much time on loading screens. If had actually did the surveys on all the characters that got them instead of just one, i'm looking at about an extra 20 mins in load screens a day hopping around wrothgar.

I do writs on my crafters, who are sat in town with no combat skills allocated since they were last reset, and wearing clothing instead of armor. I then pass any surveys to my main, who goes and collects the mats, and can tackle any mobs in the way.

Looting everything on the ground walking away and pulling a new survey out of your banker hireling set off their banning/suspension script as well. They have no way of telling who was legitly using their $40 banker and who was exploiting. So they decided just to ban everyone who did. This type of moderation is unacceptable, its very obvious to tell who was doing this to the point of hurting the economy and those of us that get an extra 1 or 2 of the same survey a day through multiple characters, yet ZoS totally missed the mark yet again on another mass banning.

Irony doesn't mean what you think it means. I don't see any irony in getting banned for exploiting. The worthiness of the banker is irrelevant, we're talking about the exploit.

Hes most likely just trolling trying to rub salt in the wounds of us that actually didn't exploit and still got caught up in a sloppy banning script.

Sadly, I don't think that's the case. I've seen my fair share of exploits discussed in the forums, and many players seem to think that if you can do it, it's fair game. ZOS' policy of not disclosing disciplinary actions - not even in aggregate numbers, e.g. "this week x number of players were suspended/banned for exploiting" - doesn't help.

As for the auto-bans being wrongly triggered, sad to hear that's the case. I can only recommend you submit a ticket and hope ZOS respond quickly.

Is opening a new case with an already earned writ or going to the banker and returning triggering this ban? I dont have the summon banker but now im a little wary of doing my surveys....

It seems as though you shouldn't put surveys in the bank at all, or it triggers an auto-ban script.

Looks like I'm going to have to make my crafters some gear before I do writs tomorrow :/

It looks like its just with the Banker Hireling, but at this point i would make sure i go out of my way to avoid doing the same survey twice in a row until things are cleared up.

They are now closing and deleting other threads about this, so i doubt this will be up much longer. ZoS really needs to do the right thing and warn their players of this mistake. I was cautious about this, and moved my collector toon to a wayshrine and ported to another wayshrine in Wrothgar before summoning the banker and picking up my duplicate writ.

There seemed to be no problem doing it this way.
So at least temporarily it can be worked around.
Cumbersome, but it's better than having to fight a ban hammer
