Crown Store Retiring Items

ZOS, this makes no sense. I spent time thinking how this would be a good business for you but unless I'm really blind I can't see! Perharps you are trying to make those retired items exclusive somehow? I can't possibly believe you guys can create and expand the beautiful world of Tamriel but have a size limited VIRTUAL store. It doesn't cost you anything to produce the store item after you finish them, you can distribute billions of them at no cost for you. New playes who would buy those goods won't be able to buy them. I don't understand why. If nothing all crown store things should be available 24/7 if they weren't a timed limited edition. HELP ME MAKE SENSE PLEASE HOW CAN YOU TAKE DOWN ITEMS THAT WOULD BRING YOU REVENUE!

It's simple. If people think they are going to miss out on something, they are a whole lot more apt to purchase it rather than just waiting for the next crown discount or something else.

it's a poorly written title. They are referring to items that are limited and simply go away, like the polar bear for instance. Some may come back yearly if seasonal, some may never come back, whatever, move on, there will be something new in the crown store next month, about the only thing you can really truly put your money on with ZOS.

As for costumes packs they should remove
Wood Land Scouts Pack
Soul Shriven Costumes
Winter Scouts Pack
Armored Knights Pack
Tribal Shamens pack
The rest they should keep in but expand the crown store.
They also need to remove crown store foods, vampire and werewolf skill lines from crown store.
Soul gems, also remove the common racial modifs from the crown store. They don't need those in crown store and all that you can get free easy in game.

Uhm, why do they need to remove things in a Virtual Store?

I understand that an overwhelming amount of choices can befuddle a customer (I used to be in Sales) but this is more a browse for something cool kind of thing.

It's called "artificial scarcity," and it's used throughout the economy to rebalance the supply/demand equation in favor of the seller.

Like a movie from the "Disney Vault," it'll come back some time in the future, probably for a limited time. They just have to wait a while to build desirability and, thus, demand.

I have all of these items, just not those pets. I just find it strange, because these 2 costumes, which I mentioned, are one of the better looking costumes, so I do not see why they want to remove these two, but keep stuff, which is much worse.

I personally own all the items being removed that I like, but yeah, a sale would be nice, and again strange that they are removing that brand new Bosmer costume from the game which just came out. Scares me to think they might remove other brand new items before they have been available for a week.

It's also an enormous risk because there's no guarantee that people will actually buy it, especially in the context of a digital store where people may be more inclined not to make impulse purchases out of protest. I love the things they put in the Crown Store, but I must say I have some disagreements with how they manage it.

I just came back to mention that! It's crazy they are removing the Doeskin-and-Chamois Woods Wear costume only 1.5 months after it was released. They are also removing a TON of stuff this time around.

I can understand from a clutter standpoint with the current store interface, but they really need to improve the interface to allow for searches and a larger catalogue.

Last DLC we had a crown sale the day it released.

Absolutely. Even if all they did for now was add subtabs to group items by associated race or something, that would be a step in the right direction. Consider: all the Breton-themed ones together, all the (upcoming) Imperial-themed items together, Orsimer stuff in its own tab, etc. That would provide both easier searching and less clutter. maybe they could take a browse around real-world garment websites and see how other people group things to get some ideas!

It's especially strange, that the doeskin wood wear is among the featured items of the upcoming stuff - when it will not be available at that time anymore.

Edit: and to the new stuff, I like nothing of those - I want to see the redguard high outfit, which is overdue.

Well, let's hope this means they are giving us a LOT of items to replace them with. People complain about them removing items... why does this bother you? If you want it, buy it... if not, who cares. I know personally it gets annoying going into the Crown Store and having to scroll through all the stuff that's been there for months, stuff I have never wanted to buy anyway, but I still have to see it every time I go there to look for something new. Change is good... especially if it means adding something new.

Well a "new in store" tab would help you out with it, no need to remove older stuff - and especially not stuff, which was just introduced a few weeks ago.
