Sad Sad Day for this Adventurer

Today, I found a wonderful deal on a PS4 NA guild trader: legendary Lich Chest for 75,000 gold. I already had the purple version, which I had purchased for 40k, and it remains unbound in my bank. I decided to buy it. I went to my guild bank, withdrew the purple one to sell, and deposited the gold one I had just purchased. When I checked my guild bank, the gold Lich Chest was no longer there. It wasn't in my deposit history (or any of my guild banks for that matter). It wasn't in my inventory, and it wasn't in my bank. Poof. It just disappeared. I only owned it for less than 15 minutes! I've been really really sad since it happened (a couple of hours ago). I've been playing ESO since Aug. 2015, and I've never had items disappear on me like that. It's slightly ironic that when it finally happened, it happened with an item I consider to be high value.

I submitted a ticket, but there's no way I would get considered for reimbursement. RIP golden Lich piece. RIP 75,000 gold. If there's anyone else out there that has had a similar sad experience, maybe there are grounds for investigating a glitch or bug? Perhaps this occurrence is somehow related to the current exploit? It would give me some piece of mind at least to figure out the cause. = (

I've been sad for about two hours, but I think it's about time I remind myself it's just a game. It's just a little bit of gold and a little bit of my time. I think I can move on now. Thanks for listening. </3

That was my first thought. It would have been the better of two evils. I am a part of three guild trader guilds. I looked at their deposit history. Nada. If it had been deposited in the wrong guild bank, I would have politely contacted someone in that guild with access to see if I could get it back. T.T

Actually customer support may be able to help with this. If they can confirm what happened to the item they may be able to replace it. I've had a few guildies accidentally decon Monster Helms (I run with scrubs) and they were replaced.

I think if they can verify what happened to it they will replace it. Thats the thing tho they have to be able to verify it.

Since you were selling stuff at around the same time, have you checked your listings to make sure you haven't listed it by mistake? (I've been known to do some dumb stuff when my inventory is fairly full and I'm trying to sell stuff!)

I don't feel like this is related to the current exploit. If your item really just vanished, support should be able to get it back or reimburse you. You said guild bank. Are you certain no members of your guild snagged the item?

My immediate first thought was to try to get proof. I took a picture of the purchase history to show it. Maybe the person I bought it from was associated with something fishy, I thought. In a few minutes of panic, I tried to think about how to provide proof. Only thing that came to mind was "here's proof I bought it" and "look at my banks and inventory, I don't have it anymore." @Epona222 I like your name. =D Yes, I definitely checked that!! I even checked the purchase history of my guilds to make sure I hadn't accidentally sold it, and it had already been purchased.

It's a private guild bank. I'm the only one with access. That would also be recorded in the withdraw/deposit history of the guild.

This happened to me recently with a gold transmutation ring. After waiting a day or so, ZoS returned the lost item to me. Just be patient. (:

Internally they keep track of all this stuff. If they can see you depositied it and noone took it out then that verifies it existed and doesnt anymore. Dont give up hope

@Tryxus and @Ajaxduo TBH, I don't know what "marking it as junk" means. I think it might be a feature not available on console? I will, however, live with the nightmarish idea that I might have accidentally destroyed it (rather than it be a glitch). It's a sad sad thought, but at this point, it's also the only logical explanation...

You have a tab in your inventory called "Junk". If you mark an item as Junk, it'll be there

Come on man. There are different degrees of sadness. I would be sad as well if I lost 75,000 in game coin. not as sad as if something bad happened IRL but sad none the less.
