It's not that hard. Just take classes at your local school. Do a couple of Google searches :)

If you can learn Japanese in 2 months, you need to use that brain for something other than online video games. Focus and get rich, then play video games.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I'm sure if you start chatting in English, every Japanese in range will be very eager to communicate with you. No need to learn Japanese, I believe most their game players know English well :).

I really doubt that, having played with japanese in second life - most of those I came across speak and understand english poorly.

Just make a healer, make a few standard macros in Japanese like:

    "I good healz"
    "red is bad"
    "Tank taunt please"

    and queue random dungeons.

OP; there's quite a few immersion language courses that you can take.

The immersion courses start off teaching you the basics of a language, then for the length of the class you must speak the new language and nothing else. The lack of ability to communicate forces the brain to adapt quickly, thus you learn the language quickly.

You might try searching some of those out.

I had completely different experiences with Japanese people :).
And even Wiki tells something about it, like Almost all students graduating high school in Japan have had several years of English language education; however, most still do not have any command of spoken English. Not so bad as it seems :).

Find a community there with old customs that will force you to learn Japanese like they made RIchard Chamberlain do on the series "Shogun". The entire village was responsible for him to learn their language and if the failed, they would all be killed for their failure.....

Or you can take the easy route and go with @Nestor's advice on Rosetta Stone.....

I am sure that's the kind of thing you want to say on the game's official forums. ;)

If the problem is economy, create a request to ZO and ask them to remove functions and variables which make Master Merchants and alike work.

    Of course you can!

    Go to google and type:

    japanese classes in <cityhere>

    Replace <cityhere> with your city!

Look at the various offerings, prices, and then make a decision :)
