Vampirism Feeding interfering with Blade of Woe

As the title says, In the Dark Brotherhood DLC both abilities require you to sneak up behind the victim and press the same button, no doubt I have failed a few assassination attempts because of this where I instead of Killing the victim I accidently feed on them.

ZoS Should seriously add an option to assign them to different buttons so they don't overlap as this is quickly becoming a major hindrance.

It is quite the troubling dilemma. They want Blade of Woe to be a synergy so making it not a synergy will probably not work. Therefore they need to either prioritize Blade of Woe over Feeding (not recommended because you still do one or the other either way) or find a way for them to alternate somehow (recommended). Or perhaps they can make the 2 synergies require different ranges?

Um guys shouldnt this be in http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/categories/pts ???

If you are going to give feedback about pts then do it in the pts sub-forum.
If I die tomorrow I do not want to think of the game I could of played today, therefor I will play whatever I want today while securing a future to play in as well.

Solution: make 2 synergy slots, but only one that can be activated of each, thus you have a choice.
    So hard a solution, eh?

Little tricky to execute on a console, where you've got a limited number of buttons, though.

It's distance related. Don't go off sound alone, but on how close you are to the target. I was testing this out and caught myself before using my feed. When I first saw it I thought to myself "how in the hell am I suppose to use the Blade of Woe when my feed button keeps popping up." that's when I played around with the distance. Basically if you are outside 4m you'll get the feed icon, as soon as you pass the 4m mark it switches to the Blade icon.

ty for this as the PTS is downloadable for a few of us this was an issue I had wanted to test.

In theory, this usually works, but it's not reliable, especially when there's a height distance (for example, while dealing with someone on stairs).

I've also had it switch out after I pressed X, leading to an attempted blade of woe attack turning into a feed.

You just have to get closer to use Blade of Woe. They made it vampire feeding triggers from much further away and then disapears as you get within Blade of Woe range. Once you get the seperate distances figured out, it's no longer an issue.

Why not make a fix like this " when equip blade of woe all other synergies are disabled".

After all its for PvE only, right!

You do realize it's not an "equipable" weapon, its a passive ability gained by joining the Dark Brotherhood which allows you to sneak up behind any Humanoid NPC and instantly kill them.

It's usually followed up by a slow motion Cutscene of your character gutting, impaling or slashing the throat of the poor victim with the dagger of woe.

Blade of Woe is not something you can equip. It's a skill line you gain by joining the Dark Brotherhood. You currently can't turn it off, unless they provide an option for that in a future update.

Feeding does trigger from further away than the Blade of Woe, but there isn't a distance that only triggers Blade of Woe and not feeding. They keep alternating when you get close enough to use the Blade of Woe.

It is just a matter of paying closer attention and being patient, but it is still an inconvenience. An inconvenience made worse if you have high ping, too.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

The problem is in specific trails..... Where you have to kill an NPC and you accidentally press the feeding synergy instead of blade and woe. Also with the changes to vampire stages this will be very annoying.

Yes, it got me spamming Mist Form for going back to Stage 4. It is really annoying. Not to mention it gets a bounty on my head.

At least they gave us that option to use vampire skills to advance stages.
