Concept: Quest Log

So it's no secret at least some of the console players would like a means to see what quests they have already done and what quests are left to do so I have a proposition: Make a list of every quest for every zone in a similar fashion to Eidetic Memory! Those wishing to enjoy the immersion of this can ignore that list entirely and those that want the reference materials will have it. It's win-win!

Since Eidetic Memory is awarded by the Mage's Guild questline, have this awarded by the Fighter's Guild questline! Feel free to discuss and also cast your vote if you think this idea is good or bad!

Warning to anyone who might disagree with this. You may get a message from Joe for bruising their ego. I voted no and before I could even finish typing out why, I recieved one such message. I don't think this user is looking for actual feedback, just blind agreement.

I'm down for a quest log that makes me see the completed ones for old times sake :))

    I dunno.
If I die tomorrow I do not want to think of the game I could of played today, therefor I will play whatever I want today while securing a future to play in as well.

A true gamer will think of all the possible outcomes and execute the one that is the hardest to accomplish.

Not really any reason for that, the map icon already turns white if you completed that area's quests and stuff, anyway

Not all quests are related to specific areas though. Plenty of sidequests all over that leave no indication you already did them, beyond a souvenir that I doubt anyone keeps because hoarding all of those would be a nightmare lol

Sounds good to me! Tying it into the Fighters Guild seems a bit random though. Something more logical perhaps would be tying it into Cadwell's. Complete Cadwell's in each zone, and get a list of the rest of that zone's quests. Similarly, complete the story in any other zone, get a full list of that zone's side quests.

A benefit to the quest log could be that it will also store all journal entries for the completed quests. There's some interesting stuff in some of those, and you can never read them again once the quest is over.

Don't expect it to be retroactive though.

I put this in the "why not?" catogary. Definitely no harm in implementing this.

Yeah I use that one for journal entries. Doesn't show a list of the quests that haven't yet been started though, which is primarily what the OP is after. I think it may be possible though to add that functionality, after the API changes with Update 7.

Why? Just open use the Internet like everyone else. Besides the fun part, not knowin if you have don't everyone or not. Stumbling into quest by accident.

Well the Fighter's Guild is adventurous by nature is it not? It's also like a conjoined twin to the Mage's Guild lol

You may be able to look up quests online but that doesn't tell you if you have done them or not and so you'd have to go looking around to see if you see the marker or not. I think we can safely say many would rather avoid doing so.

I vote no because I enjoy running through a area and finding a odd quest when you think you've done them all

And that's fine. The log can be easily ignored by those who prefer to do it the way you do.
